Despite a very short stay, this well appointed B&B left a great impression. Really well located, reasonably priced and comfortable. Great 'light' breakfast also included. My daughter described Lee's porridge as the 'best shes ever tasted'! Will visit again, highly recommend.

This is the 3rd time we have staying this year and as we were told it was like staying with family!! Lee & Marcus are such a kind friendly couple and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in room 7 which is a junior suite & again very tastefully decorated with a lovely hot shower...

Awesome hotel. The location is great. Comfy room. Lee & Marcus make you feel so welcome. I've never stayed in such a friendly hotel. The complimentary breakfast was good. I've stayed in a fair few places, all different star ratings but you can't put a price on great customer service. If I ever go back to Brighton for a weekend...

Excellent in all respects: bed, breakfast, shower, cleanliness, location and most importantly the hospitality of Lee and Marcus. Nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't have chosen better for three days away from London for a couple fast approaching 70

Fantastic, very friendly and helpful staff. The owners have a good sense of british humor and they make you feel at home immediately. The hotel has just 10 very individual rooms and this makes this place quite unique. Very good service. You never have to ask twice. They anticipate customer needs very well.

My boyfriend and I stayed in room 3. Everything far exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly welcomed by one of the owners. On our arrival we were shown our fully stocked room with comfy bed, high ceilings, complementary water, tea and snacks. The owners were extremely accommodating making it very clear we were welcome to ask them for anything. After...

My husband and I stayed at the Amherst for 3 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had a fabulous time in Brighton but the stay with Lee and Marcus made it special and fun. Everything was just wonderful from our room to the breakfast and the hospitality of them and Shan. We felt welcome and relaxed from the...

The title and all the other reviews say it all. It makes me wonder how so many similar places just get it so wrong. The guys who run the hotel really understand customers needs down to the fine detail. It might cost a little more but please give it a try when you are in Brighton
