I travel and stay away often, so to say that The Cloudesley is one of the most luxurious and stunningly decorated places I have ever been to is quite something. As soon as I entered The Cloudesley (the owner having come out to the car to help me in with my bags) there was an ambience of calm and beauty,...

It was lovely to chat with you. I will be emailing you with a list of nurseries where you can buy some of the bamboos and rarer plants. I do hope you will stay again.

The B&B was understaffed (we were left waiting on the doorstep for 5 minutes), the electrics in our room kept cutting out, the bathroom basin plughole was dirty and the floor had clumps of dust blowing around. The communal areas were looking tatty and tired and the breakfasts portions were tiny. The owner said we hadn’t paid even though we’d...

Thank you for your review. I remember you well. First of all, the electrics in your room kept cutting out as a lamp in your room had been treated very roughly and a connection had become loose. I cannot know whether it was you or the guest before you who had knocked it but there was no problem until your...

We stayed in the smallest room, which is only small by the house's standards and not what one would normally call small. It was very spacious, even had a dining table for two in front of the fireplace. At the top of the house it was very quiet and looked over the garden. The rest of the house is perfectly...

Travelling here via train is straightforward, it's a 5-minute gentle-uphill walk from St Leonards Warriors Square station very accommodating host, Surprising large enteriors with developing tranquil garden - rooms are themes and well set out though a little dark in terms of decor, but thats the luck of the theme possibly - breakfast is very accommodating , local produce where...

We stayed at The Cloudesley on Tripadvisor recommendation and it didn't disappoint. We were warmly greeted and offered a pot of tea on arrival. The accommodation is beautifully decorated throughout. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentyful. The exotic fruit selection and the proprietors speciality omelette were delicious. Parking in the street was easy and...

Fantastic friendly service, clean beautifully stylish rooms, very generous breakfast that consisted of fruit platter, coffee, freshly squeezed fruit juice, toast etc but that's just to start with, there was then choice of cooked breakfast as well, we felt thoroughly spoilt and looked after. Highly recommended. Parking in the quiet street was no problem and free.

From the moment you are warmly greeted at the door by the charming proprietor and step into The Cloudesley, you are transported into a space that is cool, peaceful and calming. Everything about The Cloudesley reflects quality and unobtrusivehe opulance. The walls display stunning photography, art and sculptures; the drawing rooms are elegant, inviting and comfortable. We stayed for one night in the 4 poster room and can honestly say there was nothing that could of been done better. The host was friendly, generous and eager to please without being invasive. The breakfast was top class (I'd highly recommend the bacon, mushroom, cheese and fig omlette!), from the freshly squeezed orange juice to the selection of...

My husband and I stayed at the Cloudesley guest house for 2 nights and we're very impressed with the high standard of service, breakfast and super decor. It was lovely to stay in a place with so much individual character- an antidote to all things mass produced and homogenized. I would highly recommend this guest house. Thank you!
