We were made really welcome from the moment that we arrived.
The owner Darren met us as we arrived which was a nice touch and showed us to our room.
The room was outstanding and spotlessly clean.
A continental style breakfast was included within our stay and available until 11am which was great as we are not early risers.
I highly recommend staying at the Northrise Retreat which also has easy parking and is just a few minutes Taxi ride from the town.
Also there is an outside Jacuzzi available to book for one hour slots.
We had excellent stay and will definitely be back again soon.

We spent 4 days here- although the weather wasn’t warm enough to use the outside hot tub and sauna we still had a great time. Darren is a convivial host, sociable and helpful. Had tips on places to visit and eat, and genuinely interested in a daily catch up chat. Our room was scrupulously clean with a great power shower and a lovely comfortable bed with quality furniture . Free tea and coffee provided. The complimentary continental breakfast was a lovely welcome extra, offering croissants/pastries/crumpets/toast yogurt and fruit as well as help yourself hot drinks at any time. Darren also encouraged us to use the breakfast room if we wanted to bring in our own food and there was room in the fridge to do that. Used plates and glasses were placed on a trolley and whisked away and replaced unseen ! A bus stop to Hastings is located a few minutes walk away and we also visited Bexhill Rye and Tenterden. Can thoroughly recommend !

After extensive research trying to find the perfect place to stay for a large group celebrating a special birthday we found this. We visited as a party of 14 friends, and had the cottage plus 4 rooms in the main house. Just wow! Everything from the gorgeous rooms, facilities, location, great communication and friendly owners, where nothing was too much trouble, this hotel simply blew us away. Prior to arrival we got some great instructions regarding parking, keys etc, and just after arrival Darren popped round to say hello which was a lovely touch. Every room provided everything we needed. We made full use of the coffee lounge and hot tubs, and the continental breakfast with freshly baked pastries was perfect. We will definitely be back!

Have to say Darren the host got us out of a sticky situation due to Bannatyne spa hotel letting us down on the morning of already being in Hastings ( Long story due to water supply effecting certain parts of Hastings and surrounding areas). After ringing the night before and they said yes come.
On ringing Darren he provided the 2 nights that we needed and sent my husband a video on how to enter the building to where the key was/code and where to eat. Which was all straight forward when we arrived.
Outside was 8 bottles of very large water for our use, came in very useful.
Can’t comment on the shower as we didn’t get to use because of water situation but the bathroom was immaculate.
The room was very clean and had everything to make tea/coffee with the fastest kettle, 30secs wow.
Wardrobe with lots of hangers.
Comfy sofa.
Our room was based a few steps to the kitchen/dining room.
What a delight everything you could ask for.
Darren came and introduced himself to us and we told him that we were going to have to cut short our time as I had been taken unwell and was going back home early,He was concerned straight away and offered a credit for the one night which we can use on our next visit. Even without that we recommended this retreat.
We will definitely be going back and highly recommend.

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Hastings. We stayed for one night as it was a weekend getaway but wish it could have been longer.
The location is not far outside of Hastings town centre, we took a bus that took around 15 minutes.
The property had self check in and you are given a code to get a key, which seems fairly standard now, although personally I feel it would have been nice to meet to owners face to face, that said they were available at all times if needed.
From the outside the building looks great, quite impressive. The room was a very good size and the use of space was great.
The bed was very comfy. The best thing about the property was the hot tub and sauna, which can be booked in one hour sessions for each room for no extra charge, they are in the large outside garden and self operated but clear instructions are given on how to use and it is easy.
There is a large room which can be used to eat your own food in and also a fridge that you can use. A continental breakfast is provided at no extra cost with cereals, tea, juice, pastries etc.
I look forward to visiting again hopefully for longer- do not really have any complaints, the TV reception in the room was pretty bad but that may be something outside of the control of owners due to the location, also for breakfast I could not find any bowls for cereal and their were no staff around to ask but this is very minor.

Thanks you so much Northrise Spa hotel! What fantastic service. The manager actually drove me to the wedding when I thought I may miss it as there were no cabs free. He also let me invite a friend over for coffee the next morning and sit in the very lovely garden with me (with gorgeous outdoor furniture) He also let me leave my luggage there until whenever I needed to collect it later in the day. Basically he kept saving the day! So service second to none. I had comfy stay although the room was smaller than I expected and could have done with a bin and a mirror. The shower was great. Lovely self serve breakfast til late 11.00. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Large quiet room, freshly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Facilities included everything you could want and a friendly owner. Buses 101 and 20 stop nearby, although you can walk into Hastings in about 35 mins. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Booked last minute due to previous accommodation not suitable. Darren (owner) was so accommodating, we used the cottage and the hotel due to the size of the family. Both facilities were absolutely excellent, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and everything we needed was there.
We we’re able to use their bbq in their lovely garden and the owners couldn’t do enough to make our stay great. Highly recommend!!
Thank you.

We had a wonderful room with great views over Hastings and the sea.
The hosts were very friendly and willing to help with any issues that arose.
The room was very comfortable and clean with a good sized walk in shower.
Coffee and a good variety of teas available to make and take to your room, the continental breakfast was very good.
Unfortunately there is no parking available on the premises but it is available on the road to the rear of the property and we had no problem.
We enjoyed the hot tub and there is a sauna available.
We would book again.

In life you need a few things, a decent mechanic, a decent electrician, a local,(mine happens to be the Sackville Bistro) and a decent retreat. Life completed.
This hidden gem is bells and whistles above the rest.
Beautiful rooms, clean, fresh and very well maintained, fresh homely, but trendy spot on decor.
Hassle free booking.
A bed so big, it's criminal.
A power shower that's so good your need a skin graft, (joke)
Loads of extras.
The sauna and hot tub are ridiculously impressive ( I personally didn't partake, but I spoke to other guests that did )
Warm, Cosy, Vibrant, On trend, a ' Perfect ' retreat.
This really is, above and beyond the perfect get away.
100% recommended.
