This B&B is top of its class. The outside does not prepare you for what's through the front door. Phil & Michelle were very friendly, the furnishings were excellent quality and the medieval theme running through each room is a joy. We were in the Perdigon room, and loved the tapestry fabrics. The en-suite was very clean, wonderfully soft, fluffy...

This is a very different style hotel to what we are used to but none the less really lovely. It is like walking into medieval times with all the furniture , ornaments and music playing gently in the background. Both Phill and Michelle made us feel entirely welcome and we felt at ease straight away. They showed us our room,...

To start, this is a high end b&b. Very clean, comfortable and with friendly hosts who aren't at all intrusive but leave their sitting room door open so they can attend to any needs you might have. The attention to detail is superb, even down to the personalised bill presented when you leave. Add to this a breakfast that is...

We stayed at the Minstrel's Rest for a couple of nights. The medieval theme is unusual but well executed. Our twin room on the first floor was quite small and had no ensuite. Instead it has access to a private bathroom which more than makes up for this. Plenty of towels and toiletries are provided and the room has a...

After much searching came across Minstrel's Rest. What a great place to stay. Travelling with friends who stayed here also. Comfortable rooms with great amenities, so thoughtful about what little extras you may need or things you may have forgotten to pack. Superb breakfast served exactly as you want with so much choice. Quiet surroundings, taxi ride to the centre...

Stayed there for the week-end. 10 minutes drive to the beach, which was very good as we were away from the noisy seagulls. Michelle and Phil are great and you can see their touch all over the place. Comfortable bed, divine towels, toiletries and bathrobes are a nice surprise. Medieval atmosphere everywhere. Well done to the hosts who put a...

My partner and I had a superb time at this quirky Medieval themed guesthouse. Phill and Michelle were both extremely welcoming and helpful. Located on a quiet suburban road in the hills behind Hastings, the guesthouse was a hidden gem. The room and, more broadly, the whole house is superbly decorated, really living up to it's theme. There are many...

Unaware when booking that this is a medieval themed guesthouse and so it turned out to be a great pleasant surprise. It was extremely well decorated, extremely clean, comfortable bed and a great breakfast. Easy to find car parking space.

My first ever stay in a B&B. Phill and Michelle are great hosts who take the time to speak to you and find out how best to help you. Michelle's directions ensured I was able to get around easily when I usually get lost between the front door and the footpath. Make sure you use the map she gives you....
