The Premier Inn Lewes Town Centre hotel garners praise for its immaculate cleanliness and modern atmosphere, with guests enjoying the comfortable, well-maintained rooms. While the breakfast receives commendations, some guests mention difficulties with parking. The staff's professionalism and friendliness are often highlighted, although a few travelers suggest service consistency could be enhanced. The hotel's value is recognized, especially with its central location near the old Town, despite occasional critiques of reservation costs. Room critiques focus on ventilation and noise, but overall, the hotel's offerings and location are popular among travelers.

We stayed 2 nights (Fri/Sat) in Lewes Premier Inn. It was lovely. Easy to find, parking chargeable but free from 5pm on Saturday until 9am on Monday. We paid £4.10 for all day Saturday in Phoenix car park. Elena on reception was very accommodating, friendly & helpful. We stayed in room 123, it was massive, the biggest room we've stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few! Spotlessly clean. Plenty of tea and coffee, fresh towels, pillows etc available from reception, no maid service at present although they will empty bins and replenish toilet roll if requested. A super clean bathroom with a lovely powerful shower. We booked breakfast. It was cooked to order. Juices, croissants, porridge, cereals, yoghurts etc bought to the table, help yourself to bread to toast, tea & coffee. We got the train from Lewes to Brighton for the day, it was £14.40 return for 2 adults and 2 children much cheaper than parking in Brighton. We loved our stay, would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

Stayed for one night and what a wonderful
Warm welcome we received. Room was spotless and very comfortable. We had drinks from the bar very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. You can park in adjacent public car park where parking is free from 5pm to 9am and minimal charges after that. We have stayed at many premier inns of varying quality and this ranks amongst the best with lovely staff who should be congratulated. We shall definitely return.

Very good value and comfortable place to stay. This hotel is very modern, clean and well equipped. As is to be expected the beds are very comfortable, and I think King sized. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk at the end of the car park you are through onto the High Street with the Riverside cafe where there is an excellent choice for breakfast. I think they open about 7am, although we didn't go at that time. I thought that parking would be a problem but the hotel staff advised of two other car parks nearby and gave me a map. My son had breakfast in the hotel on Monday 31st August which he said was good. Although he was told by reception staff that they were participating in the eat out to help out scheme, only to find out that this was not the case and he had to pay the full price. Other than that we couldn't fault it.

Stayed here with my one year old who wakes at 5am, so spent a lot of time entertaining him in the hotel room!

Staff were all really friendly and professional. Helped locate a lost toy dog.

The room was a decent size, with a fairly roomy bathroom that hosted a, very welcome, full sized bath. Everything was very clean, bed comfortable and the cot was also absolutely fine.

Had breakfast one morning which was good, all fresh tasting and plenty of options for both of us.

Its not a luxury hotel but for £60 a night I thought very good value.

Location is good although the hotel does not have it’s own car park. I made a booking for 4 rooms expecting I would receive the Premier Inn guarantee of comfort and service at a reasonable price.
On arrival there was a significant queue for check in (true the check in has been changed to 4pm so understandably that is when most guests arrive). The single member of staff checking in was extremely slow and didn’t really seem to know what she was doing, she was struggling to keep her composure as the queue got longer. It took a good half an hour to check in. Despite making a booking over a year ago for four rooms I had been allocated a room of a different floor; fortunately my sister had a separate booking and was able to swap with me!
We had all booked ‘meal deals’ - the service in the restaurant was extremely poor with only one member of staff waiting on table. We waited over an hour for our food to be served and it was at best edible! We complained to the waitress who asked if we would like to speak to the manager. The manager came over and we were very surprised to see it was the same member of staff who had been struggling with ‘check in’
The room was up to usual Premier Inn standard although very mean with the supply of tea and coffee.
Breakfast service was slightly better, it seemed there were more staff in the kitchen. The manageress who was still on duty was very attentive, I did sympathise with her attempts to do what she could but told her I would be complaining to Premier Inn who seem to have shifted their model to skeleton staff with little or no training. The only part of the experience that was what I expected from Premier Inn was the comfort and quality of the bedroom.

This is the first time I have ever stayed in a Premier Inn we usually stay at Hilton group. I was blown away by the room and the welcome we had from the staff. The room which was a twin as I stayed with my daughter was extremely clean airy and bright. Crisp clean linen and towels a spotless bathroom and we even had air conditioning.Tea and coffee facilities provided in the room as well as a hairdryer and wardrobe hanging space. Just what you need for a short stay. Breakfast the following morning was cooked to order and was fantastic . Piping hot well cooked food served by very friendly staff. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and all Covid measures adhered to. It was an absolute pleasure to stay and eat at this wonderful hotel. I shall definitely return sooner rather than later . Covid permitting

Upon check in the staff member was very friendly and we booked a table for breakfast. We were advised it is busy between 9-11 so we said we would book for 8.30. Upon arriving at breakfast there was no table reserved for us. We specifically put an alarm on at 8 on a Sunday morning to ensure we arrived on time. It seemed such an inconvenience for the staff member trying to resolve and embarrassingly was trying to get some tables to leave in the middle of their breakfast. Rather than come back at 8.50 as requested we asked for a refund and went into town to find breakfast elsewhere. Other than the poor breakfast service we slept well and enjoyed our stay.

My Wife and I stayed at the Premier Inn in Lewes, from Tuesday 22 June 2021 to Monday 28 June 2021.
It was set in a lovely perfect area for us. The staff were great, particularly Elana , her daughter and others. Breakfasts were well cooked and enjoyable.

However, we were placed in a disabled room which we did not need and the room was not cleaned properly.
The Shower BLOCKED up after first use and got worse every day. It was reported several times but nothing was done about it until it flooded all the Bathroom.

Eventually one of the waitresses cleaned the Drain which looked as if it had never been cleaned or cleared of Hair for Months, She was nearly Physically sick.

Also as we stayed for 6 nights there wasn’t drawers to put our clothes in or much wardrobe space. So it made it very bad to live out of our Suicases.

Two of us stayed in a Premier Plus room at the hotel for one night. We were walking the South Downs Way and had just done 18.5 miles so we really needed a good room with a bath and comfy bed - and that's exactly what we got!

Soukayna on Reception gave us a warm, efficient welcome and a Premier Plus room on the 2nd floor. Nicely decorated, clean, good size, lovely bath with overhead shower and a comfortable bed. Also a small vanity area that had a good wattage hairdryer with a large mirror. So many times, the hairdryer power socket is far away from a mirror, so this was great! All the usual tea and coffee making facilities too.

We had breakfast which had plenty of choice - fruit, cereals, hot food with all the usual (hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon, eggs) croissants, toast and jams. The chef cooked gluten free sausages for my friend and also gluten free toast. Staff were friendly and efficient.

The hotel has a very central location so we were able to have a brief look around the town before checking out which was easy and quick.

Am happy to recommend this hotel, no complaints at all.

We stayed for 2 nights on the second floor. Amazing welcome, staff that are friendly, happy and always willing to advise.
The room was lovely, clean and nice layout. We have stayed in the local premier but this one is so much nicer. Soft close doors smaller rooms so kids are running up and down and making a noise and nice little touches like makeup mirrors! .

The breakfast was as always lovely well cooked and served with a smile
Only thing watch the parking it is busy in the evening but apart from that perfect
