A comfortable bedroom, a welcome reception, and a good breakfast. However, we found the bathroom far from clean, the conservatory which acted as a breakfast room in need of a thorough tidying up and the wifi non-existent.

We arrived very tired and we were greeted, by Jean and her cats, and tea and Cake. Wonderful. Ensuite room was lovely and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was hearty and we were made very welcome. Great start to our walking day.

It has taken a while to write this review but I think it's still worth doing. This bungalow is right by the South Downs Way so convenient for walking the South Downs which is what my friend and I were doing, there are also not many places to stay in this area. The room was small but comfortable and it...

Very comfortable pleasant experience - we could not fault it at all. Breakfast was great. Best B&B I've stayed in and much nicer than the average hotel. The only disappointment was the local pub which was deserted.

Stayed here for two nights with my wife and mother as we wanted to explore the Lewes / Plumpton Green / Chailey area where my mother grew up in the 1930 / 40s. We found Nightingales very suited to our needs, having parking and easy access to the property with the accommodation all on one level and the rooms (both...

I stayed one night in this very comfortable B&B whilst walking the South Downs Way. My room, overlooking the garden, was large and comfortable, and the bathroom immaculate. Jean was very welcoming, proving tea and home made flapjacks on arrival, and an excellent breakfast the following day. Whilst the path down from/back to the SDW is steep, this was an...

We have been to Jean Hudson's delightful B&B many times and it is still one of the best near Glyndebourne. We went to see La Finta Jardiniera (which was very interesting - they destroyed the scenery which is unusual in an opera!) and got back just after nine and had a lovely evening exchanging reminiscences with friends in the comfortable...

Spent one night at this wonderful B&B after a hectic day in Brighton. The rooms are comfortable and clean with excellent ensuite bathroom and toilet facilities. Situated in the peaceful village of Kingston just outside Lewes its an ideal alternative to Brighton or Lewes. Leave the car at Lewes and get the train into Brighton or walk the South Downs...

Jean gave us a lovely warm welcome with a cuppa and home made biscuits. Much appreciated after our long walk. The rooms are very comfortable, though all over heated, which you don't need with the thick duvet. Gardens look lovely, even in mid winter. Was great to stay in the much smaller Kingston rather than Lewes. We had a great...
