Went here for the first time this weekend as the place we usually stay at was fully booked. And I am so glad it was. Housedean is lovely. Massive pitches with a fire pit each. Great scenery and being on a working farm is great loved the cows making an appearance. There is a handy shop that seemed to have...

The fire pits were great and the cost was reasonable. On the downside the road noise form the A27 was quite loud and the showers were very small, I had to hold my dry clothes between my knees while trying to dress as there is so little space and it's difficult to keep things dry. Accessible but basic

Hi Eleanor, Glad you enjoyed the firepits, which we think are essential for camping! I'm sorry you found our showers too small - you are the first person to ever mention this. We're not sure why you didn't use the hook on the back of the door to hang your dry clothes up though?! Kind regards Nick

Stayed here for a couple of nights this weekend. Really great campsite, facilities were modern and very clean, pitches were big! Each pitch had its own firepit which was a really nice touch, and kindling/firewood was available to buy for £7 at the little campsite shop. Staff were lovely and always there to help.

I had two nights here with a friend. This was a clean, friendly and spacious camp site. The pitches are a very generous size; each with its own fire pit! The showers and communal areas are clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful and the on site shop is well stocked and sells the all important logs,...

Just returned after a short, family trip-me, the wife and 2 sons (3 and 5 years old). First time camping for the Mrs and the 3 year old. Site was easy to find and clearly very clean and looked after. The toilets are spotless and the showers are great with powerful water and hot all day. Previous people have commented...

We stayed in one of the camping pods with our two young children. The pods are very clean, warm and comfortable. They have a small shaded decking area at the front of the camping pod which our children enjoyed sitting on and admiring the cows in the fields. Every pitch also comes with a fire pit which made cooking easy...

This is a lovely little place. Staff were very friendly and showed us where everything was. Toilets and showers were some of the best I've experienced at a campsite. Only reason it never got 5 stars is the hilly pitches and we found ourselves sliding about quite a bit on our camping beds. Making food was sometimes difficult due to...

We traveled a long way and was so pleased as soon as I arrived to the site. Staff were very friendly and the view around us was amazing. The toilets and the showers where just everything i hoped they would be. I would stay here again if I was visiting the area. :)

We stayed in Housedean this past weekend as a quick break from London. I've done a lot of camping and this is a really great campsite. The amenities are fantastic and very well kept, with enough showers and toilets for the campsite. Also a small but well stocked shop. The location couldn't be better. Right on the South Downs, very...

Just had my first time camping in a tent - this week we went to cornwall, brighton and london, this was by far our favourite campsite of the week. The most relaxing, rustic and friendly. They have firepits which really add to the experience and in an evening it just feels really how camping should, great fun! Pretty hilly, so...

“A pod or a pitch further away from the main road is probably quieter, but being close to the road didn't spoil our stay.”

“We stayed on pitch 19 which is on a slight slope and exposed to the wind which was a bit noisy when it picked up so for ultimate comfort I suggest choosing a pitch down the hill - however it felt like there was much more space and room on the higher up pitches.”
