We were a group of 18 for a family party where The food was below average. Not sure about rooms but just a bit cr@p for what we paid. Bad quality food which was just a bit tat. Wouldn't recommend a party here which was based on food.

We stayed for two nights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, relaxed atmosphere ( a change from the corporate of bigger hotels). Other people have mentioned that it is due an update, this may be true. but for us we found it clean and comfortable, and a great location for visiting Rye and the surrounding area.

Reception was warm and welcoming and the lovely gentleman behind the bar was helpful and informative about the range of drinks they had available. The restaurant looked spacious and had a varied menu.

A general feeling of hostility as if we'd inconvenienced management. We were quick to pick up on the large number of faults in the quality and cleanliness of the room and hotel. The room was dark, damp and in disrepair. The shower was tiny, I'm 5ft 6 and couldn't fit under it. The amenities in the room were subpar- things...

The food was of good choice and cooked well. I was surprised about how affordable it was and could and would be great for...

Just visited and had a lovely Carvery. Party of 9. We had 2 courses, some of us had starters and main, the others at main and puds. Food was lovely, had the choice of 3 meats, and you could have all 3, plenty of choice of vegetables. Service was great. Would highly recommend.

A bit apprehensive about the Riverside as i'd read a few negative reviews...although the décor does need a bit of an update, Its still a very clean place, good size rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, Excellent breakfast with hot buffet, cold juice, fruits, yoghurts, cereals and cafetiere coffee served to your table. Room service available if you fancy breakfast...

I stayed at this property a couple of days ago after a very stressful 2 days in the uk. I was supposed to be heading to Brighton but needed somewhere with short notice as I was a little over everything! The gentleman at reception couldn't be more helpful and the staff in general were great! The chef was very friendly...
