Yesterday, (19th April 2017), I had lunch at the Marlborough Hotel in Dedham. I chose the De Luxe Vegeburger and we waited 40 minutes for the meal to arrive. Now, call me picky but it was a massive burger so I prefer to use a knife and fork as there was no way I could take a bite out of...

By accident!! Why do you find that so hard to believe? Having read over your review a few times i would reply that your conviction/assumption that this was done deliberately as ‘a sick joke’ is equally offensive to me as bacon is to you. Absolutely not, of course it was not. We are professionals, why you would even consider such...

Really very sorry about that. Concerned about the lack of quality we have had a management and chef change and I can assure you that this will never happen again, and it all now really is what it says it is on the menu. Apologies.

I should start by putting my visit into context. I regularly stay in a well appointed corporate hotel, but was bored with that and had seen the lovely village of Dedham. I had visions of a walk around the village, a decent pint and some hearty pub food. Unfortunately, as Dedham is in a conservation area, no street lights are...

We found the staff and locals to be very welcoming when we first arrived. The Inn has a lot of characteristic charm in a sense of the open fires and a lovely cosy feel to the place. Food was nice, great breakfast! Scott is always happy to help and is extremely friendly. The location is amazing, easy walk down to...

Ordered sea bass fillets was suspicious when waitress asked if I wanted "head on or off"! When it came,on a bed of indifferent veg,it WAS a whole bass, raw under the skin, probably cooked from frozen. I did get my money back from the apologetic manager, and a plate of veg.My husband had sausages(not nice butchers ones),mash and undercooked peas.We won't be back.Wetherspoons...

Called in at lunchtime with friends whilst out for a dog walk from Flatford Mill. Positives - pub looks nice from the outside, traditional pub grub menu is competitively priced, bar staff really friendly and good range of drinks. We had a really tasty lunch and the quality of the food was excellent. Negatives - the bar looks tired and...

On the recommendation of a friend my wife & I visited the absolutely lovey village of Dedham, Essex. On seeing the Marlborough Head Inn we 'popped in' to ask the room rates and availability with a view of taking a mid-week couple of night break.. We then decided to have drink in the Beer Garden for which we were completely...

‘Assumption’ is often a dangerous thing and you Sir have assumed wrong. I thank you for taking the time to review our lovely village and Pub/Restaurant with your opinion, however i am glad of this opportunity to put the record straight. Firstly, you cannot have been charged £6.84 as all our prices end in either 0 or 5. Secondly, we...

I ate here last night with my partner and was incredibly disappointed. The staff were lovely and there was a friendly relaxed feel in the restaurant. My partner had a gourmet burger which in his words was uninspiring but filled a hole. I had a Thai green curry off the specials board. The curry came Luke warm in a jelly...

Stayed one night a couple of weeks back, nice friendly bar staff, nice and helpful cleaner, food was average and accomodation needs a real re-decoration, tried to speak with the manager about my views, but it seems she spends the mornings in bed. Lovely setting and village, hope this place gets a more caring manager soon, such a waste.
