Can’t beat this hotel for value for money. Very comfortable room with large flat screen TV. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tea & coffee making facilities. Fluffy white towels (although small bath size) Friendly helpful staff. No breakfast facilities, not a major problem as Beefeaters is 2mins away.

I paid £35 for the room on Booking.com and at the hotel a £100 security deposit. The site was undergoing some renovation which I was made aware of before arriving but it did seem like they did not want me to turn up but it was already booked and paid for and close for work. Nothing special about the room, it was just somewhere to sleep for me. After booking out and returning home I receive an email telling me that I have stolen 2 Large Bath Towels, 2 Small Bath Towels and a Bath Mat - £65. They were not in my bag and I know I left them in the bath for the cleaning staff - I contacted the hotel to complain and they said they would investigate and I have heard nothing from them since. Sort of wish I had stolen the towels but I'm not a thief and take offence when being told I am.

Really disgusted with this money grabbing hotel. Booked a room for two nights through a booking app. The hotel cancelled it because they ‘didn’t like the rate that the booking app had given us’. It left us scrabbling around for somewhere else to stay - on a bank holiday and cheese roll weekend - putting in jeopardy my first chance in months to see family. Now we’re having to stay in a different place each night and paying a lot more. If they had any inclination towards customer service they should have let the booking stand and sought compensation from the booking app in question. It was a dispute between companies that has nothing to do with me and that I as the customer should never have been made aware of or penalised for. So unprofessional from an apparently quite new establishment.
