Stayed in the summer and had a reasonable experience so booked the extremely expensive new years eve do, expecting to spoil oneself. Sadly totally wrong. The five course meal had to be ordered the day before and then it took them over four hours to serve despite the fact that only one of the five courses had to be cooked....

Thousands of East Asians agree with him as we saw loads of Japanese , Taiwanese and Koreans visiting . We stayed at Swan Hotel for just one night at their most expensive suite , complete with a hot tub outside! Swan Hotel is located at the most beautiful spot in Bibury , a village and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England....

The room was fine, fittings, furnishings of good quality, although a few aspects such as central shower head (you HAVE to wash your hair) were badly thought through. The staff were mostly foreign, which I have no problem with, but it would have been nice to hear a west country accent......they tried very hard to please and were pleasant but...

We so enjoyed our stay here, in such a beautiful village. The hotel staff were very kind on finding we cannot manage stairs (the lift only goes to the first floor) put us in the most sumptuous room imaginable. Four poster bed, bathroom to die for, with every comfort you could want. The restaurant has a great menu and wine...

We recently visited the swan for food. After reading all the reviews online I had high expectations. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful but I felt let down by the food and the service. My partner had been really looking forward to the quintessential english afternoon tea but was bitterly disappointed. It was served to us with no explanation as...

Thank you for your comments regarding the afternoon tea. We pride ourselves on serving a delightful quintessentially English afternoon tea and I apologise that on this occasion the service did not meet our high standards.

This famous hotel is well organised like many reviews and it's reputation. Especially I really impressed when I went to bathroom during the night because its light was green to prevent the dazzling eyes. The price may slightly overpriced during the weekend but worthwhile to stay a night though.

It was a half way meeting point for the family to celebrate my Mothers Birthday and we were not disappointed! Sunday lunch was delicious, plentiful and served by some excellent staff. It always has been a warm and welcoming place and it's popularity has not dwindled. Only one niggling comment to make was about the Receptionist on the front desk,...

How wonderful that you chose to revisit the Swan to celebrate a family birthday - i'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us, but apologise for your experience with the Receptionist on the front desk. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights, as part of our trip to the Cotswolds to celebrate my wife's Birthday. Beautiful room and amazing food. Dropped in to Bibury as it had been recommended as somewhere attractive for a walk. We weren't disappointed. Decided to have lunch at The Swan (after checking that our dog would be allowed in), and were extremely pleased by the welcome from Bruno and the staff.
