This B & B is located in the center of a very picturesque Cotswold village. There are numerous pubs and restaurants within a short walk. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was "made to order" so you weren't stuck with an enormous English meal at the start of the day. The fridge was outside our room and was...

write up says mini fridge in each room ! not true, and radio alarm in each room ! not true, I booked a king sized room and it was not as big as my bedroom in my 3 bed semi, I know it is in the middle of the village but that is not worth £80 per night, very disappointed....

Location in centre of village was perfect as close to everything. Free parking was a bonus. Entrance around the back is strange. Rooms are basic and clean but could do with an update(especially the bathroom, shower warm but no power) Wifi is very slow. Breakfast basic but ok. Hosts very friendly and always available.

Janet was a wonderful hostess while we stated in Bourton on the Water at Chestnuts. The bed and breakfast is a little hard to find but our room was very clean and comfortable. It was amazing to stay in such a beautiful area, in the middle of the village. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling.

Bob & Jan run a really good, relaxing stay away from home. A really interesting building, due to the old internal design. Walkways are packed with an amazing collection of mainly wooden toys from various eras. The breakfast is ample & good quality, with plenty of local produce & a variety of fruit to accompany the cooked breakfast. We have...

The owners of this B&B could not have been more helpful. The location is right in the middle of the lovely village. The breakfast was not as good as other B&Bs we have enjoyed and our room was up two steep flights of stairs (ok someone has to be there). Really tried to give a higher rating but when compared...

This is a second visit to Chestnuts in around three months! On arrival there is a car park round the back of the shops and near to the entrance of the guest house. You enter through a shared entrance then turn up the stairs to the landing and reception area. There is a stair lift for less abled of us,...

Great service and wonderful breakfast with friendly and homey service. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the location and friendly service. This B&B is housed in an old (300 year old house) and suffers from creaky and unleveled floors but exudes character. Bob and Jan provide excellent service and nothing is too much trouble for them.

we stay here on the 4th & 5th of july and once again had the very best of service, the rooms are not large but big enough and very clean, breakfast as always perfect, location is central to all the main other places to go within a half hour drive, the village itself has plenty of restaurants and pubs all...

If you are after a glamourous country retreat then this b&b may not be for you. It's quaint and charming, in an old traditional building with slanting floors and walls. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with an old exposed fireplace and window seat. Plenty of room for a travel cot as we travelled with our young son. Great welcome...
