Our stay in the Amalfi suite was very enjoyable. The suite was stylish and comfortable and had great amenities available. The location of Strozzi Palace is particularly good as it is just a three minute walk from the centre of Cheltenham and lots of nice bars and restaurants. The staff at Strozzi Palace were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay.

Milano apartment on the first floor was great. Stylish, clean, lovely mirrors everywhere. Bed was amazing, matress comfy & pillows too. Soap, washing up liquid, milk, tea & coffee sachets provided. Great location very short walking distance to shops, restaurants, pubs & car park. Negatives are that we stayed a Saturday & Sunday night & the Saturday night was terrible to get to sleep because the pub next door was playing thumping booming music till about 11.30. Another negative is that the Sunday night there was a very heavy footed person staying above us and I would have gone as far as to say that maybe it was being cleaned because of the amount of movement there was up there. So maybe stay on the second floor. General road noise is no problem. Breakfast at The Cosy Club was good, dinner at The Mayfair was also good. 30 minute trip to Broadway which is a must and Bourton on Water 25 minutes from Broadway. Lovely day out. Also visited Clearwell Caves. Overall lovely stay.…

My husband and I had a three night stay in Strozzi Palace, Amalfi suite. The accommodation is spacious, modern and well situated. The staff we met (by chance as we left the building one morning) were very pleasant. Procedures are in place re Covid and adaptations have been made. Our experience has been largely positive; however, not entirely. The advertised breakfast included in the price is not being provided due to Covid. This is something that I understand completely; however, I was not informed about this omission until check in, a few days before arrival. This could have been communicated earlier in the process. I emailed Strozzi Palace about this matter last week and I await a response from management. There were a few minor cleaning issues e.g. the fridge could have been wiped out more thoroughly. Some of the facilities needed attention i.e. ironing board cover was badly worn, no TV instructions (electronic would have sufficed, if hard copy has been removed due to Covid) and a wonky toilet roll holder. None of the windows open in the suite. Air con and a fan were provided; however, the room temperature was extremely uncomfortable at times. Noise was an issue. There was some street noise and lack of soundproofing meant we were disturbed by guests in the room above, two nights in a row. They seemed to be merely walking around and using the loo, however this made a dreadful racket in our room which resulted in disturbed sleep. Our post-lockdown check-in was totally impersonal with door codes being emailed to us – no problem. Our room (Napoli) was wonderful with a large comfortable bed, separate sitting/kitchen area and large bathroom with a large bath/shower. Big fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Small patio area was a little disappointing with high screens on two external sides – a planning issue I suspect – but still a nice facility to have a drink outside on a nice day. On the negative side there was no room safe and poor insulation between floors meant that we could hear every footfall above. All in all still great and we would return but perhaps to a room on the second floor (Amalfi, Napoli and Milano are on the first) but be aware that there is no lift. Our AC was fine - figured out that you needed to point the remote control at the unit high on the wall.…
