We have stayed at the Beaumont many times since Fiona took ownership and our review is long overdue. As we come out of lockdown and people are planning UK trips, I hope this sways you to book. We have stayed in executive and superior double rooms and also the Hillview Suite - each room is unique in layout and each one is beautiful in its own way. The whole place is also impeccably clean. Booking direct on their website allows you to select the room/rates to suit your individual requirements. The lounges are beautifully furnished, peaceful and spacious and the garden is well maintained and would entertain children with its play equipment. As regular visitors to Cheltenham, we have stayed at quite a few of the big hotels in the town but Beaumont House, is our favourite and always our first choice now. We are happy with the self-check-in and the offer of self-serve muffins/yoghurts for breakfast if needed. Its location is not central Cheltenham but it is an easy stroll to Bath Road with its shops and eating places and only a little bit further to the town or the Montpelier district. We never move the car during our stays for local entertainment, we can always manage to walk. If making contact with reservations when making a booking or prior to travelling, Fiona always answers calls/emails promptly.…
Comfortable, warm, relaxing hotel full of character too and with very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is a 20 mins walk from the town centre, but you you will also find great cafes and bar 5 mins away. Great value too
The owner couldn’t have been more helpful when we needed a “home from home” for our daughter’s hastily arranged wedding to beat Lockdown 2! We took over the entire top floor (6 extremely comfortable and stylish bedrooms) for privacy and then had use of a spacious dining room, sitting room and gardens for our two day family stay. The beds are extremely comfortable, the linen crisp and good quality and the side and back rooms have great views over the hills. The hallway made a stunning photo venue for our beautiful bride as did the gardens and sitting room, where we enjoyed a family drink from the honesty bar in the evening. Breakfast is currently “grab and go” muffins and yoghurts, with unlimited hot drinks. This hotel is an absolute gem and in a great location with plenty of parking and easy access out of Cheltenham and in to the centre. Every room had a fan and heating for adjustable temperature preference and a fridge, as well as a good size bathroom, quality furnishings and wall mounted TV. I believe there are some suites and a themed room on the middle floor too. On top of all this, the hotel also offers excellent value. I can’t thank the owner enough for the service she offers her guests. We were lucky to find Beaumont.…
3-night stay from the Sunday to the Wednesday before 2nd lockdown. Booked with the hotel website. Got emails on how to check in. No staff there on arrival. All done with the kiosk at the front door. Either get the TLJ Mobile Key app to turn your phone into the front door and room door key or just follow the on screen instructions to access your key card that opens both the front door and your room door. We got to stay in the Hillside View Suite. 2 flights of stairs to the room. As you enter, you have shelving against a double wardrobe, which contains an ironing board with iron, hanging space with hangers, a safe and rabes with plastic wrapped slippers. There is another bed pillow if needed. Back wall has a two seater sofa with coffee table and a TV. Don't expect a smart TV. It's not. It's worth mentioning at this point that there are power points all the way around the room. The bathroom next with a shower cubicle that has a normal shower as well as a rain shower. Didn't try the rain shower. Only problem with the cubicle is that you can't be too big. Being tall would help though. We are both 5 foot 4 inches and the shower gel, shampoo, conditioner dispensers are attached rather high and it was a bit awkward to get under the nozzle to dispense. It was OK though. Behind the cubicle is a bath with another shower. Alongside this is the toilet with its own door. The light is bright, the extractor fan is loud. Good sized room though. Next to the toilet room is the large heated towel rail and a large frosted glass window. Big window sill if needed. The sink is a good size with big mirror over it. Next bit in the room in a good sized desk with tea/coffee making facilities. Taylors tea selection, Nescafe coffee. Bottled water is provided on arrival in the fridge under the desk. This is replenished daily. The desk has a chair on casters. Above the desk is a storage cupboard containing a blanket and another bed pillow. Two big windows. Between the windows is what we assumed was the fold out bed that looks like a wardrobe. (The room sleeps 4 people). The dressing table/desk is next with movable mirror. A hairdryer can be found in the top left drawer. Again good storage spaces in the drawers. There is a stool to sit on. Two bedside tables with lamps and wall attached reading lamps. The King sized bed on arrival was full of cushions neatly displayed. Decor is grand gold and brown. Very cosy. Bed comfortable. Quiet area, no noise, providing there isn't a gale blowing as the windows will rattle. View amazing with the hill in the back. Beaumont House is next door to where Princess Zara lives. The area is very high standard. The facilities of the hotel are as follows. The reception is there but at the moment is rarely used. There is a breakfast room offering muffins and yoghurts, tea/coffee/water. Big breakfast room. Hardly used at the moment. Trust bar room offering refrigerated drinks. Canned beers, mini bottled wine, water, canned soft drinks. Take one, make a note of your room no. and it will be put on your bill. Nice seating in this area. Outside there is plenty of parking on a first come-first served basis. Can't really fault this hotel. Highly recommend a short stay here. You will not be disappointed.…
From the warm welcome we got from Fiona we loved everything about this hotel. Elegant spacious house with a large garden and ample free parking it was just right in a way a large hotel never could be. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, generous complimentary toiletries, great tea making facilities, bottles of water provided every day and fabulously comfortable bed. With the self check in everything was Covid correct. This hotel was perfect for a family visit that meant a lot to us. We liked it so much we already booked for next year 👍 Clare and Leeroy
