Great food and great old pub, best pie had in ages, just shame service by staff basic, no checking food ok or asking for order or bill. Need to care for customer more, basic menus limited to but some very nice specials

The Thames Head Inn is an old-fashioned pub with 4 rooms in the back. You book a room by phone or email. I phoned and fortunately got 2 rooms for myself and my walking buddy. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, if basic, and for the price are a real bargain. The staff are friendly and accommodating, taking care... More

Found this pub by chance and it turned out to be excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. The surroundings were classic old world pub with a log fire burning. All the food was excellent and generously portioned. My bubble and squeak was the size of a bowler hat and came with bacon, mushrooms and a fried egg on top. Others... More

Four of us came here for dinner by chance and we've had a very enjoyable time. The steaks are good and cooked correctly, the staff are friendly and accommodating. The ales from Arkells are well kept and served as full pints (no stupid deep heads). Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Cirencester area.

This pub restaurant in on the main Cirencester road and perfect for a pitstop on the way. Very good bangers, mash and onion gravy and also good steak and kidney pie. The only thing i wasn't keen on was that the method of cooking /reheating in the kitchen meant that the food was so hot I couldn't eat my pie... More

The food and service was excellent but we were disappointed that there was no high chair available for our 3yr old grand daughter. They did provide a cushion to help and did small helpings off the menu but these days at lunchtime in the summer holiday I would have expected a more child friendly approach.

We stopped in for a quick lunch as we were passing by. Very friendly and helpful staff and really good, hearty food. We particularly liked the lasagne and sausages from the bar menu. Highly recommended!
