Just spent two nights here with my wife, apart from the tired rooms (which really didn't bother us) we had a lovely time, we had a deal including dinner and breakfast, the food was excellent and the breakfast was so big we struggled to eat it, but it was great not to have to get it from a buffet. The...

We booked a two night stay with breakfast and one evening meal plus late check-out through Groupon a couple of months ago. We checked in and were given room 12 which was on the 1st floor, the decor was very dated with peeling wallpaper and some small holes in the wall, with a basic bathroom where the shower would go...

We stayed here for a four night break and this hotel exceeded our expectations, staff were very accommodating always helpful. Breakfast and our evening meals were always served by excellent waiting staff and the food was divine. Great little hotel for anyone wanting a nice relaxing break. Highly recommend this little GEM.

Had pre Christmas lunch with friends. Had starter then waited 2 hours for main course. After chasing twice it finally arrived. Nowhere near enough vegetables with dinner. All served on the plate. One meal 1 carrot, 1 minute piece broccoli. One meal 4 sprouts. Absolutely appalling service. Three parties in front of us waiting to settle bill, everyone complained! Staff...

We had a 2 night stay in this hotel with evening meal. We upgraded our room (so glad we did) it was furthest away from the Reception but nearest to the main road but thankfully didn't hear anything. The room itself was a fair size but there was a musky smell as you entered the room, think it was from...

A nice find for a hotel, well situated just outside of Cirencester. It is going through a refurbish at the moment but don't let that put you off. The evening meal was well cooked and substantial (it was a little over presented for my taste) and that good we used the restaurant again on the second night. Breakfast was an...

We had a two night stay in a premium double room. The staff are lovely. The room was a really good size. The decor is slightly dated, but everything was clean. The food really is very good, a really good 8/9 out of 10. Would recommend it & would happily go back.

Even though work was being carried out to upgrade, we had a lovely stay. Nice and peaceful. Lovely staff and good food. Although it's an old building it was lovely and warm. Nice spacious bathroom. Will be going back.

Just been for a 2 night stay, in Nov, not the best month for visits I admit. We were given room 20 which is designed for wheel chairs etc and it is very big and comfortable for us old but mobile types. We used the restaurant for evening meals twice and food was nicely presented and adequate (we chose from the...

Agree with most previous comments. Our stay (room 35) was very peaceful. We booked through Groupon and upgraded - I'm glad we did. I guess October/November is going to be quieter, I think they must have had a large function over the weekend and when we booked in Sunday evening it felt a bit like the Mary Celeste. The staff...
