4 couples spent two nights having a reunion , booked 4 rooms in the Orangery on the pay in advance deal £75 per night with breakfast. Having adjoining rooms away from the main part of the hotel was ideal for 4 retired noisy teachers and partners. We ate in the restaurant both nights so we could drink and eat with... More

We stopped in here for tea and were slightly appalled at the chaos that seemed to be reception and the general tattiness of the whole place. As another reviewer has mention, this place really needs some investment.

We arrived early (1pm) for a two night stay, as we had travelled to get here. We were shown into the bar and invited to wait until the room was ready. We had tea in the bar and noticed that there was a considerable amount of dust and used tissues under the furniture, this had obviously accumulated over several days... More

Excellent country hotel booked through Cotswold breaks. A three night break booked with a room upgrade if available - it certainly was a first class room with a sitting room and a jacuzzi bath in the en suite. a beautiful room with space and all facilities needed. Staff all very attentive and excellent food in stunning surroundings.

We had a room in the main house it was well appointed and was very cozy on a very cold weekend. The restaurant was excellent with a great variety of options including two vegetarian dishes. The breakfast was excellent. There were log fires in the bar and main entrance which were very welcoming. The total cost was very reasonable which... More

This wonderful hotel felt steeped in history as soon as you walked through the doors you could feel the history and everywhere you looked was a feast for the eyes. The garden rooms have a very modern feel to them so if you require a period room, you may need to upgrade. The beds are very comfortable and large as... More

Beautiful old building and amazing surroundings with the hills and the Cotswold views. The hotel itself is in badly need of upgrade and is old and tired. The food [we had dinner included in our package at £170.OO per room per night] but it was the exact same menu every night and not the greatest quality. The only thing that this... More

Wanted a spa experience in the Cotswolds without huge expense - this hotel was absolutely perfect. It is a very impressive country house with tonnes of character. Beautiful wood fires in both the hall and the bar gave a lovely warm welcome. We had booked a small feature room directly with the hotel and were presumably upgraded as, on entering... More
