Unfortunately we only booked for one night! We shall certainly rectify this next time. We had a wonderful meal and the breakfast was exceptional. What we really enjoyed was the personal service demonstrated by the Staff. Nothing was too much trouble and every request was met with a smile. The hotel does not allow children under 5 or dogs of...

This family run hotel clearly operates a 'happy ship' with professional long-serving staff who pass on the warm, friendly atmosphere to their guests. The food was excellent, great produce, cooked very well & piping hot. Small attention to details - no packets & bottles on show here! The restaurant & bar were very comfortable and smart without being ostentatious. The...

We have been visiting Stow Lodge several times a year since 1983 (yes 1983) and it remains to be as good as ever. The management, staff, food and overall service remain first class and a credit to everyone there. Long may it continue.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and made for a really nice overnight stay in the Cotswolds. Restaurant food was really tasty (both 3 course evening meal and the...

Felt a bit like we'd gone back in time 50 years... not really in a good way. 'No dogs or children under 5' Rooms however were spotless and majority of staff were very nice. Heard one of the older members of staff saying 'he was sick of people sitting in the garden' and asked for my family to be thrown...

We stayed recently for our golden wedding anniversary celebration. From the minute we entered we felt a lovely ambience. Our room (28) was outside on the first floor of the coach house. It overlooked the road which was noisy when we opened the window, but the secondary double glazing units kept it very quiet. We did discover that the unit...

Not pretentious, not overpriced, just lovely. Traditional but service led, Old-fashioned but comfortable. Absolutely in the centre of the town, but plenty of free hotel car parking. How did I never come here before after having been born and bred in the area. and visiting regularly since - so glad we took the plunge this time for two nights. It...

Old Fashioned but comfortable bedroom. Our room was in the Coach House. Large bathroom. Lovely lounge in hotel with open fire. Didn't dine in the hotel but had coffee and nightcap before retiring. Good service with friendly staff.
