After a few busy days in London, we really needed a quiet, relaxing evening in the Cotswolds and our stay at The Porch House really fit the bill! It couldn't have been better, and not only met, but exceeded all of our expectations. Note that you have to exit at the Moreton-in-Marsh station and get a taxi or hire car,...

We have just returned from two nights away at this charming Inn. Perfect location on the high street. Parking could be tricky at busy times but we managed to get one of the four spaces at the back of the hotel and on the street at no charge the second night. The Inn has been sympathetically and tasting renovated and...

The Porch House hotel is in a good central location within Stow. It is very old and looks impressive from the outside. The car parking was two spaces, we were lucky and got one. Our bedroom was out of the main house, size was small, very little room, no drawer space, small bathroom with miniscule sink. The cold tap ran...

Chose to dine here on the recommendation of our hotel, and was not disappointed. The pub has been beautifully and tastefully renovated, and the food is generally very good. Portions are very substantial and represent pretty value in the present market. The only slight down side is that one of my ox cheeks was a little on the tough side,...

Booked a table for 8 people for Sunday lunch in the conservatory for our parents' 51st wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we had been placed in another part of the premises. Food was very average ( more fat on the beef than meat ), everything Luke warm. Asked for more gravy which arrived in one of the smallest jugs we'd ever...

This was our first visit to Stow on the wold, and we spent time reading reviews to get the right place. This was most definitely it! Full of character, lots of little nooks and crannies and different areas of the bar to sit, including a snug and a restaurant. Each had a roaring log fire. On arrival, parking was a...

Really nice dinner in a beautiful pub. We've had ox ckeeks and partridge and it was absolutely delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent as well. Everything is really at an affordable price. Would definitely recommend this place.

We were staying with our 2 year old and called ahead a week before to see if there was a bath in the room for her. The gentleman on the phone said 'yes' and that we were in room 3, however this must not have been on the system as we were put into room 2 without a bath on...
