The last night of our mini break was here, after checking to a really gorgeous room we settled in the bar - it was meant to be for a quick glass of wine before heading out for a walk....... we did not head out, we had more wine and sat in front of a beautiful log fire! perfection. Dinner time... More

Lovely hotel full of nooks and crannies. Huge car park. Walk from the hotel onto open moorland with your dogs. Bar gets busy with locals but is cosy in winter with log fires and candles, and the bar staff are fabulous (special mention for Dan who really understands customer service but is often left to manage alone). The hotel end... More

Having eaten lunch here several times, I can heartily recommend it. Great food, not too expensive and a well stocked bar. The staff are all very helpful and attentive. Real fires and comfortable chairs make for a very relaxing lunch.

The staff in the bar were courteous and hospitable. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent and we were sat overlooking the common, enjoying the extensive views. My only disappointment... More

We love staying at the Bear of Rodborough. This was our third long weekend here. It was a perfect, relaxing break. The hotel is located on Rodborough Common, perfect for golfers, dog walkers, ramblers, anyone who just wants a few days of peace & quiet. The staff were very polite & courteous. We were offered a room in the Country... More

Very very disappointed since the group of hotels is exceptional. Booked for two nights but cancelled second night forfeiting my payment. To begin..no offer of help with luggage..parking lot quite a distance from lobby.and room was on third floor (walk up). Rudiness by restaurant staff when we arrived 10 minutes after breakfast ended...asked desk clerk to call one of the... More

We have just come home from our 4th stay at The Bear of Rodborough, it is situated just across a narrow road from the lovely Rodborough Common, so you can walk for miles whilst enjoying amazing views over the valley & onwards towards the River Severn, & at this time of the year the Autumn colours are just breath-taking. The... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at The Bear using their 2 for 1 B&B promotion. The hotel was clean and tidy and had lots of rooms off the bar area where you could sit and rest with complimentary newspapers provided. Our room was on the first floor and was very spacious ,the bed was king size... More
