A beautiful property in a perfect location with the Cotswolds yawning before it. The property is not modern which we enjoyed, it is traditional, warm and welcoming. Good facilities as expected in the room, clean and a good bathroom with power shower. The highlight for me was the owner, David. He could not be more helpful if he tried. Excellent communication before our stay, fitting us in last minute. He made recommendations for local eateries and sights and was happy to have a chat whenever he saw us. We felt more like personal guests in his home rather than travellers in a B&B.
We enjoyed three nights at North Farmcote B and B immensely. The house is charming and comfortable, the room was spacious and well appointed, the host was super congenial and the garden was perfect. It is a great place to set out for walks in any direction or just chill in the garden and take in the magnificent views. Breakfast was full, fresh and delicious. Can't wait to visit again.
I would very warmly recommend staying at David's house. This was for us (young family with 1 child) one of the best holidays in recent time, and definitely our best B7B stay ever. You won't feel like you are in a commercial accommodation at all, you will feel like you are in David's house. David has inherited this mansion from his ancestors, and it's the most beautiful old house. It's fully furnished with antiques, including the guest rooms. The location is most amazing, on the gentle slopes of a south-west facing hill. The whole place and gardens will make you feel like you are doing a trip in time, in one of Jane Austen's novels. And David is the most hospitable, sociable and polite host of all. He will cook a fantastic breakfast every morning for you, and advise you on where to go and what to do. He will lend you a map and whatever else you might need. The surroundings are the world-renowned Cotswolds, all at convenient driving distance. The location is perfect for children as well if they enjoy wildlife and nature.…
We arrived at David’s place, during storm Dennis and after a 17 mile walk along the Cotswold Way. This place is very conveniently located for walkers and crumpets and tea on arrival after hot showers, were the best we’d ever tasted after a day in extreme weather conditions. David was the perfect host, booking us in for dinner and taking us to the local pub and picking us up later. This was a lovely touch. Highly recommended for a comfortable warm stay. Thank you David, we wouldn’t hesitate to come again!
We visited, with friends, for the weekend and were welcomed by David with tea and biscuits. He remained a most gracious host throughout our stay and treated us more as friends than paying guests. Our room was spacious and breakfasts were freshly cooked to order. Unfortunately the weather precluded a tour of the garden but the house is situated in a spectacular location and we enjoyed exploring the local area. Highly recommended.
