Having eaten here on two previous visits we were pleased to get a room this time for two nights. We arrived early, but were warmly greeted, and shown to The Preachers room overlooking the main road. The room is compact, but look carefully and there is space for things. Nice fresh coffee, chocolate and bottled water provided. The shower room was adequate, but be patient with the water heater. Nice towels which were changed each day. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of food and decent orange juice and home made croissants. Best of all the toast arrived warm! The only downside was noise from outside on both nights, with motorbikes and delivery trucks. The staff, especially Rachel, were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
Spent 3 nights here with my daughter on our annual trip to the Cotswolds. The room was small but perfectly adequate for a few days away, clean and nicely furnished. Gilchrist & Soames toiletries are a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, with tasty local produce and homemade croissants to set us up for the day. Special mention to Rachel, who couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, beautifully prepared and delicious. There’s no parking as it’s on the high street but the long stay library car park is a few minutes away and only £1 all day!
This is a lovely place to stay , the room was very comfortable with everything you needed , the breakfast was wonderful and all the staff lovely , the only downside was the resturant wasn't open for dinner that night so we went to the pub next door and had a lovely meal , we went to the castle which is lovely and well worth a vist , the only down side is there is no car park but i parked in the street and it was fine .
We sat in the conservatory and had a fantastic meal with great service from the young man and woman who waited on us. I had a great steak and my friend had the sea bass, I would 100% recommend a meal here.
I would rate Wesley House a 3.5/5 as a B&B (as a restaurant a 5/5). The lady that greeted us upon arrival was really nice and friendly. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in a room called Almsbury. This was their best room and had a nice balcony. The room/bathroom was clean and comfortable, but rather dated. Main reasons I cannot rate this B&B higher than a 3.5 are: - The bathroom is tiny, especially the sink - You cannot fall asleep before midnight as you can hear the downstairs restaurant very very clearly. - Breakfast on the Saturday morning was lovely, but on the Sunday morning several mistakes were made. Nevertheless the B&B did meet our expectations based on ttheir website.
