Lovely Hotel, spotlessly clean & great staff. We had a Deluxe Harbour view room, huge comfy bed & good facilities. Rooftop terrace lovely for drinks & fabulous food in the Harbar restaurant. Breakfast with such a lovely view was wonderful & it was surprisingly peaceful even though the hotel was busy.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed here for a night with my wife. What a very plesant stay we had in this lovely hotel. A very modern stylish hotel located in Ocean Village Southampton. The front desk staff were extremely welcoming, nice and helpful. Our room was fantastic, we had a great view overlooking the marina and the sea. I found everything very clean as expected of a hotel of this stature. Later we had a meal in the Jetty resturant. both of our meals were prepared to perfection and the service was excellent. When we checked out we found again the desk staff to be helful, happy and smiling. Our car was in the hotel car park across the road, it was raining quite heavily, so a very kind and helpful gentleman from the front desk took my keys and drove it over to the main entrance at the side of the hotel ready for us. I wourld thoroughly reccommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Southampton area. It is also very cl;ose to the main part of town. Thank you Habour Hotel for a pleasant stay.

Stayed here on two different occasions in one week so got a good feel for the hotel. Overall a very nice hotel with good facilities. Bedrooms were excellent. Very spacious. Super comfy bed, good towels, products. Lovely view over the marina. For some reason no coat hangers on either occasion? On the sixth floor is where you have indoor and outdoor bars/restaurant with very nice views. It’s definitely a go to place. You have breakfast there too. Check in and out friendly but a little clumsy. Price is the main issue here. Paid £275 a week before the boat show and £400 the week of the boat show. It’s a £200 hotel tops which it may well be any other time of year. Would 100% return.

Expected more for the price paid. The double room had a great view overlooking the marina. The room itself was disappointingly small. Space to get round the bed on both sides and the bottom but that was it. Bed comfortable but very high. Ate in the restaurant. The food was tasty but pricey. We received an amuse bouche, nice, but had to ask what it was rather than being told. Restaurant was very noisy, could not hear what person opposite was saying. In the bar I asked for a bacardi and coke. I received a coke so had to ask for the bacardi. No apology. When it came it clearly wasn't a normal bacardi as it was brown, but decided not to make a fuss as I thought I would never get a drink.. When I asked for a second drink I asked did they not serve bacardi. I was advised they did. I had been given spiced bacardi as my first drink. No acknowledgement of the error, no apology. Service charge automatically included on the bar bill.

The room in this hotel was beautiful just what we wanted. There is a more corporate feel here than say it’s sister hotel in Salcombe. Reception staff very good and friendly, as are the Spa staff. The spoiler for me was that we booked a table in the terrace dining area as it was a beautiful evening for alfresco eating. To our horror it transpires that the terrace dining area is also the smoking area not only for seated diners but also for smokers coming into the area from other parts of the hotel. The restaurant had three opportunities to tell us in advance of the fact that we would be eating in a smoking area but neglected to do so. When we asked to be moved the whole response was handled very badly. In conclusion be aware of the smoking designation of the terrace dining area. Also if things go wrong don’t expect a smooth response in the restaurant.
