Lovely stay at the blue keys whilst going to a gig at the guildhall. It's a short walk (20min), but parking is easy to find in the centre, or call for a cab! The hotel is great, with good facilities, and a friendly welcome, and would happily stay again :-) Highly recommended

We booked an overnight stay here as we were travelling to Norway the next day. We were greeted by Colin and showed to our room which was superb. The evening meal that we had was superb and the attention that we were given was first class, even though they had a large party to attend to. Breakfast was again of...

Older beautifully maintained hotel in quiet neighbourhood short drive from cruise terminal. Unique decor that reflects the name, "The Blue Keys". An elaborate older style bar, a baby grand piano and band area provide a great venue for events. Beautiful chandeliers complete the vintage decor. Bedroom was quite large and the bathroom was completely updated with a wonderful hot shower....

Blue Keys is unique in that it has breakfast for and and serves a dinner if you wish. Reservations are required. It has a wonderful little bar and the food is good. No A/C so it may get a little warm for some. The rooms are adequate and the bathrooms are roomy. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Needed a place to stay between cruises. We always prefer 'local' to chain if possible, both for lodging and food. Found this place on Trip Advisor and booked it. The room was quite nice. The breakfast is a super value. Lunch and diner are both available and good alternatives if you don't care to go out. The owners and all...

What a find this was. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but close enough to walk in to all the main restaurants and shops. Staff were delightful and personal, really made me feel like I wasn't 'just another guest'. Food and beer / wine were just what you would expect from someone who cares about he...

First of all, you have to introduce yourself to Colin. He's does everything in the morning at the hotel with a great sense of humor and excellent efficiency. The hotel was well appointed, clean and comfortable. It was great to have a kettle in the en-suite room for tea. Room heaters worked great (and were needed for So. Californians). The...

My Wife booked the function room for my surprise 50th Birthday party, the room itself is quite large and has outside seating available too, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food which had been ordered was mini hot dogs, bacon baps and cones of chips, they were all very nice and of good quality, I would have no...

Blue keys is a lovely hotel, very pleasant staff and nice surroundings! The breakfast for the additional £5 is well worth it. Only one reason for not giving a 5 star rating was the mattress in room 9 definitely needs changing! Needless to say we did not sleep very well. This was the only thing that spoilt our stay.

Great small hotel in a convenient location. Approx 20 min walk to City Centre. Bus at the end of road to city but very limited timetable.. Great friendly welcome, room and public areas clean and comfortable, however, room at the top of building, no problem for us but check if you think stairs might be a problem... Staff really helpful...
