We were looking for a boutique hotel in Southampton at very short notice and came across the Pig in the Wall. Once a pub and nestled within the medieval wall of Southampton it really is a find. Beautifully decorated - full of character - a mix of country style and shabby chic - muted warm colours, lots of wood, and...

My wife and I stayed for a night whilst doing a boating course. The room was cold on arrival so I turned up the thermostat so it would be warmer on our return from dinner but when we got back the room was freezing. I mentioned this to the lady behind reception who disappeared into a cupboard and turn the...

This is a great spot for a pre or post-cruise stay and a lovely area to wander around, exploring the medieval and Tudor parts of Southampton. Also very close to all the shopping. The quirky rooms very well fitted out with Nespresso machine and walk in shower and very comfy bed. However they were a little too cosy if you...

Stayed here for one night. We were created by warm and friendly staff, after check in our luggage was carried to our room and we were given information about the history of the pig in the wall and the property. Absolutely fascinating and it has a wealth of charm and character which is clearly visible. We stayed in room 10,...

This is my third stay at this magnificent little boutique hotel. Staff all really friendly and helpful. We arrived after visiting the Zebra event at Ageas Bowl. So we took a look at the menu as we were early to check in and had a appointment in West Quey. The light bite menu is really good for lunches. I mentioned...

We stayed here by fluke. I wanted to visit the New Forest but The Pig in Brockenhurst was full and so was Lime Wood. However, staying at the Pig in the Wall gives you the best of both worlds. Book via Mr and Mrs Smith and you get chauffeured from The Pig in the Wall to The Pig in Brockenhurst...

We stayed overnight at the Pig in a spacious room with a bath in it. Great value, fantastic hotel, loads of character, very cosy, superb food, and lovely staff. They lit an open fire for us, and brought my girlfriend a hand written card and a complimentary bit of cake for her birthday. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

We stayed at The Pig in the Wall on Friday evening, following recommendations from friends who have stayed in the other "Pig" hotels. After hearing all about the quirky boutique style and great cocktails, we were really looking forward to trying out The Pig. We had drinks and nibbles in the relaxing bar area before heading out for dinner nearby....

Stayed for one night after returning from a cruise. Very clean and original design throughout. Good food and very good staff. It would have been nice to stay longer so we would like to stay again in future : )
