The room was dirty and the decoration of the room very poor, Checked into 1 room then asked to be moved due to a sash window dropping constantly due to the window latch being broken off and on laying on the window sill. Paint around the window black with mold, Grout in bathroom also had black patches. the dust around...

Room was quite good but maintenance varied enormously day by day. Sound proofing between rooms was non existent so you heard every movement outside and next door. Surprised to find so little in the way of extras. No tissues, shower hat etc. Just basic shower gel and shampoo. On my last morning I had a tight schedule to complete a...

In the middle of the High Street and a short walk from the main shopping area, railway station and port, this relatively old fashioned hotel is ideal for a brief stay in the city. The carpark should be signposted from surrounding roads as the local one way system is pretty awful but it did the job eventually. With its friendly...

We stayed for 2 nights to meet with family. The hotel is very central and has some character making it more appealing to us than the more bland modern equivalents but some people might not like the 'old tired' look. The room was comfortable, clean and perfectly adequate for what we wanted. The hotel had a restaurant which we ate...

I'm afraid my stay was not exactly good. The room was fine in terms of size and cleanliness - no problems but to have no hot water in the morning because "everyone is showering" is not acceptable. The only option was to move rooms which meant going outside, the room was cold, the water took a while to heat up...

There's no getting away from it, this hotel is very old, very tired and in drastic need of some TLC. The staff are great, they do an excellent job and are very helpful, they just need a nice hotel to work in. Despite being pretty beat up the rooms were very clean, especially the bathrooms, so top marks here. The...

Good hotel for an overnight stay prior to a cruise. Yes the hotel is older but the room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom had been refurbished.
