I wonder why people choose one thing over another, when they are actually better suited to that which they have omitted to choose; take the case of a B&B versus a hotel. Clearly both have their relative merits and it would be unwise to stay in (and then review) one type of accommodation if you were actually more suited to...

Although we have rated this as average, the overall experience at the Coach House is far from average. Read all the previous reviews before you go (they all offer a true reflection) and go with an open mind. We did, but disappointingly we left somewhat disappointed.

Easily one of the most lovely and heart warming individuals I have ever met. Always made me feel welcome. Lovely breakfast every morning as well as a delightful room that I stayed in for 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Mary's B&B. Beautiful Victorian house as well. Jack x

Really enjoyed my night at the Coach House, although the booking was very last minute, Mary was able to find me a lovely quiet room. The accommodation is immaculate and Mary provided me with information about where to eat and the city itself. Mary cooked a lovely breakfast which was served on time and I left the Coach House feeling...

Mary was most welcoming and gracious on arrival and shared valuable information about a great local pub for dinner (and made a reservation for me). My room was beautiful - spacious with very elegant furnishings. Super bathroom and all immaculate. Breakfast the next morning was very nicely cooked and excellent quality bacon etc. It was perfect for my one night...

My host, the charming Lady of the house, was friendly and helpful at all times. The room was beautifully furnished with some really personal items that made me feel like I was at a home where I would like to live. I enjoyed a really nice breakfast both days and had very interesting conversation that was most informative on life...

We stayed at The Coach House in December last year and enjoyed our stay in beautiful Winchester very much. I was a bit worried about going after reading some of the reviews but I'm really pleased we went. Mary squeezed us in when we couldn't find anywhere else to stay. The house is beautiful and Mary was very friendly during...

So it's not just us! We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment the front door opened. We were referred to as 'him and her' by the landlady when she was talking in our presence to her husband. We were warned as if we were schoolchildren about minding the decor, because "we've just spent a lot of money on...

Lovely house and the landlady's husband was very pleasant and helpful. Sadly that is where the positive comments stop and the negative ones begin as listed below:- 1. We called to confirm we would be a little late due to delays on our 170 mile journey and were told by the landlady that she was expecting us at 2.30 (exactly?)...

It is difficul to feel relaxed here. On arrival, I was told to leave my shoes in the boot room. I did that. Next morning I went down to breakfast with just tights covering my feet (thinking I was observing the shoe rule) and was asked pointedly whether I had found the slippers provided, the tone of the question made...
