We had a very positive experience at the St Stephens guesthouse, the price was good for a great location 10 minutes walk from downtown, the family room was ideal and the full english breakfast was over our expectations. We had a late check-in due to our plane being delayed and the staff was very helpful in waiting for us and...

Last review was July our 3rd stay, since then we have stayed in October 2016 and February 2017 and are looking forward to booking for the beginning of June. This guest house and owners never lets us down, very clean, accommodating, excellent breakfast. Perfect location for stroll by the river into town. What more could you ask for. Thank you...

We were a group of six visiting Canterbury for the Bank Holiday weekend. They could not have been more friendly or helpful. Allowing us to park both before check in time and let into our rooms which had already been prepared. Also allowed us to leave our cars, as they had space, on the morning of departure maximising our time...

Sandra and David are very friendly and welcoming hosts. Our room was very nice, at the front of the house, yet very quiet. Lovely breakfast in the morning, and following one of Sandra's suggestions, we had a great dinner at the pub just a 5 minute walk up the road (the old Beverly). We really enjoyed our stay here. St....

Having planned a child free weekend away with friends in Canterbury we were shocked at the Hotel prices for a 1 night stay. We then stumbled across this guest house which was perfect and it met all of our needs. Free car parking, very friendly staff, clean and practical rooms and a hearty big breakfast in the morning. Perfect and...

My wife and I stayed here recently and think it's great! Both Sandra and David were very welcoming and friendly. They genuinely want to make your stay happy and memorable and they certainly succeeded! The house is gorgeous. There are seating areas and lovely surrounding gardens. Our room was wonderful. The breakfast was fab too! The location is within easy...

Stayed here one night in a twin, after a family funeral. Welcomed by Sandra, given a map of Canterbury and shown to our room. This was at the back of the lovely house, over looking the car park, so handy to keep an eye on the car. It is well situated for walking into town, which we did that evening,...

My Sister and I stayed at St.Stephens Guest House (Nov 4th-9th) and we found the location of this establishment to be excellent. There is a Sainsbury store within five minutes for odd & ends, but the most pleasure we found was the stroll along the rivers edge into the city centre. Our Twin Room was located on the second level...

Excellent location being only a 20 minute walk from the Cathedral and free parking to boot. Very friendly and helpful and a fab breakfast. Room was functional and the bed very comfortable. The only criticism would be the lack of power in the shower. Would definitely go back.

We stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable, with tv and Wi-Fi. Lovely breakfast on both mornings which set us up for the days. The location is great, the centre is only a short walk away which is great for shopping, sight seeing and locals pubs. The owner was very helpful, giving us a map of...
