Beautiful premises, comfortable room and great location. We had just a great couple of days in Canterbury. Great bar for a drink in the evening or tea in the afternoon.. Breakfast was a standard English and a very good one.

Nice Hotel, short walk to centre, staff really pleasant & helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Unable to get a meal on Sunday so am not sure of how good Lunch & dinners may be. Suspect very good as the rest of the hotel was so good. Room was adequate. Bed too soft for our liking but obviously people have different needs.

The Falstaff is undergoing some major refurbishment at the moment and I didn't recognise it from when we last visited a couple of years ago.. ....wow what a transformation!! It's a stunning hotel. Restaurant, bar and "sitting room" are contemporary but also have an old charm to them. Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful....

We arrived and pressed the button to be let in the car park and thought ‘good, that went well!’ the next minute there was manic banging on the side window of the car by a receptionist demanding that we report to the desk. She had mis-heard our names and thought we were ‘illegals’ in the car park. When she discovered...

This was a great find, have visited Canterbury before, but never stayed over. Wanted a central hotel with parking, this was a great choice, car park is tight but ideal. Room had been recently updated in the car park tap room, the bathroom had been re fitted and the room in the progress of being painted, this did not detract...

Stayed at the Falstaff for two nights the staff were excellent in all areas of the hotel, the breakfast was lovely the room we had thought was very disappointing it is in bad need of refurbishing. We had a great time in the bar on the second night over all a very nice visit to Canterbury

Stayed for two nights in Feb 2017 as a birthday surprise. We had always wanted to see Canterbury and the Kent coast so we didn't want to spend a lot on the hotel as we would be out at the cathedral, walking on the coast, eating oysters etc. The bedroom was small but it also had a dressing area and...

We only stayed for one night but found the bar very modern and welcoming. No evening meals available as it is in the centre of town and restaurants are just steps away front the front door. Afternoon tea looked yummy though. Our turret room was spotlessly clean on 2nd floor. Just be aware that due to the age of the...

We stayed over for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. A great location and even somewhere to park the car.. The hotel is 400 years old and retains a lot of character although the interior is very modern. The bedroom was warm and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were pleasant and efficient and I can recommend...

I stayed for five nights here whilst singing at the cathedral. It was a mixed experience. After check in I carried my suitcase, briefcase, two suit bags and the days newspapers whilst the receptionist ( about 45 years younger than me, I would estimate) carried the credit card sized key. That's through the bar, across the car park around the...

Just metres from Canterbury's medieval West Gate, this charming building dates back to 1403. A former coaching inn, it offers free WiFi and free parking, 2 minutes' walk from the city centre. The Falstaff still retains many original features, including oak beams and an open log fire. Each room has a TV for guests to use, and facilities for making tea and coffee. The hotel offers a cooked to order full English breakfast as well as self service buffet option. The bar offers a range of wines and variety of exclusive cocktails.
