The service was friendly. Both restaurants were slow in producing the food. The breakfast was cold. Dinner was only OK - we wanted steak and chips for our fussy nine year old, but the kitchen couldn't produce this. Our room was freezing cold and the underfloor heating in the bathroom didn't work. The hot water was only just warm enough...

my rating here is 'good' and not 'very good' but good is a little bit better than 'average'. great location - right on the pedestrian road in the herat of town. big rooms, average amenities - though i had a suite. average breakfast and average service. a good choice if you have to but not worth its money as you...

Staff were very helpful and polite , breakfast was terrible we sent both our breakfasts back twice as not cooked! Sausages were roar and eggs were not cooked properly. We were not the only people to sent our meals back, Would not eat there again. Room was nice but not worth what we paid

Have stayed here several times over the years on business and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Would highly recommend to all. Room upgrade on my last visit was a lovely surprise and made my stay even more comfortable. 5 Star hotel and staff!

We stayed here for two nights for our anniversary weekend. On arrival all seemed good, check in nice and easy and staff very pleasant and helpful. We dropped of bags and went straight out for a few drinks. We decided to go back to the hotel and have showers and get ready to go out for our anniversary meal, the...

We paid £155 for our room on the 2nd floor. The room finishes were ok & similar to that of village hotels but the bed was so soft it was like a waterbed, we slept poorly. When we tried to use the shower in the morning a cold dribble came out. My partner had to wash her hair in the...

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The reception area, dining room and bar areas were modern and had the ambience of a fairly high quality hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the "fine dining" food was very good but, as with all such restaurants, the portions were very small. We felt though that the...

We had a super experience. The young man that checked us in was so nice and friendly and told us everything we needed to know. The location is perfect and the parking was very convenient. It's £12 for 24 hours which, being local we view this as extremely good value. Parking in Canterbury is unfairly expensive. The room overlooked the...

The hotel is located on the pedestrianised section of the Canterbury High Street. Although this is excellent for access to shops and the cathedral once you are there, the pedestrian-restricted location means that access by car is possible only via back streets, which can be challenging even with GPS guidance. Rooms are large and comfortable and excellent value. Hotel staff...

I have stayed in Canterbury five times in the past six months and spotted the Abode last time. It appeared nice and when I got a good price for a room (previously when I looked they were way overpriced) I decided to try it out. I am pleased I did not pay full price as the property and service were...
