I really enjoyed my stay here in October. I did have a fairly major problem with my room though- the shower did not work. It took 3 inquiries (that turned into a complaint to management at the end) 4 separate people to get any resolution though. The first two people I told at the desk shrugged it off, the third...

Apart from the great location, having booked for a one night theatre, shopping break, we found this hotel to be friendly, clean and reasonable in price. If we ever stay in Canterbury again, which is more than likely, we will stay at the pilgrims Hotel.

Stayed here over a weekend. Lots of character and great breakfast in Dems brasserie (best coffee ever). Enjoyed the bar and mulled wine. We were in room 1 and the only downside was the noise. You can hear everything (staff arriving for work early morning creaky floorboards and even conversations in other rooms) Think this was due to us being...

Stayed in a suite while visiting for my brother's 40th party. Lovely room, very well presented, friendly staff and great breakfast in Dem's brasserie which is attached. Location excellent, by the West Gate at the end of the Main Street. I would stay here again.

A lovely old hotel, lots of character.Close to everything, the room was cosy. The staff really friendly and very helpful with all my queries. Generous breakfast and the Ten Pounds dinner voucher was very welcome. I highly recommend it.

Booked here for one night and we were really pleased, the location was excellent for the town, the staff were very good with everything check in was quick and we were shown to our room within 5 mins. We knew we had booked a small room as that is all that was left, okay the room was quite small but...

We stayed two nights at this hotel in October 2016 and found it a good base from which to explore Canterbury. It is within easy walking distance of the cathedral, it has a good restaurant and the staff are pleasant. BUT make sure you view the rooms available before you accept them. Some of the back rooms upstairs are very...

Great B&B just 20 meters to the centre of town. We stayed in a great family room that could accommodate my wife and our three kids easily. The room was recently refurbished and the bathroom was beautiful. Clean towels and heated towel racks were a dream. Walking distance to so many food and entertainment options as well as all the...

I loved the Pilgrims hotel. The location is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and breakfast were good. All wonderful. The only thing that threw me for a loop when I checked in (and almost made me leave) was that the single rooms are absolutely the smallest hotel rooms I've ever seen. Probably about six feet...

Thanks for your understanding Judy; in a 400 year old building the small rooms really are what they say they are in the description. Full of character but compact so we do try to accommodate as many people as possible in the larger doubles and family rooms. Unfortunately we are generally sold out at quite an early stage so we...

Hotel was conveniently placed and with helpful staff. Our room was a bit small, and as it was in the roof and south facing, it was rather hot (although this was one of the hottest September weeks for years).

It was an exceptionally warm September wasn't it Paul but it's all cooled down now! Soon we'll have the fire going in Hotel Reception and we know our autumn/winter guests really appreciate how warm and cosy the hotel is. We will have extra fans available for next summer.
