My husband and I stayed at the Red Bank guest house for 8 nights in July, and we had a wonderful time there. The hosts are very helpful and friendly people who are ready to advise you on where to possibly eat out or spend a day. Over breakfast, there was always time for a nice chat. Breakfast was marvellous....

We are trying to train Toby as our new waiter but at 3 years old we still have a long way to go. Good to hear you had a good time and we look forward to seeing you again.

We stayed here for our first stay in the Lakes. Although Val was called away on family business, George coped admirably. He made us feel as though we had selected the best place to stay. The B&B was full every night bar one night of our stay. One couple had stayed before, which speaks for itself. We would certainly return...

Please you enjoyed your stay and also happy that I managed to cope without Val. You should have seen the kitchen though! Look forward to seeing you again in the future.

I will have no hesitation recommending this B&B. This has to be one of the best we have stayed at. The hosts are warm and friendly. A welcome cup of tea and biscuits were appreciated on arrival. The room and shower were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with local produce being used. The location is only a short walk...

Good to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Our breakfast is cooked to order using local produce so, even if we say so, it is good. Hope to see you again in the not too distant future.

Red Bank is not your average B&B, it is outstanding and well deserving of its five star rating. The room was spacious and luxurious, with lots of lovely little touches. George and Val very friendly. Good choice for breakfast, freshly cooked to order and set us up for a days walking. Close enough to stroll into Ambleside for something to...

Thank you for your kind remarks. Our own off road parking for our guest is, as you say, a bonus in Ambleside. All the shops, bars and restaurants a short level walk from Red Bank so there is no need to use the car. Waterhead is a 15 minute walk from Red Bank so the steamers and launches are within...

We spent four nights at this comfortable B&B right in the heart of Ambleside. Val and George were very helpful and accommodating, and the Super King size bed warm and comfortable.
