We were looking for somewhere to have a light supper, having eaten quite late. We didnt eat there because the evening menu didnt have anything light enough but the drinks were good with a good range of beers and nice atmosphere.
After a boat trip from Bowness to Ambleside while wondering through the beautiful village we stumbled across The Unicorn Inn .. The food was plentiful, very hot .. so if you want to visit a traditional pub give this place a try

No, I didn't stay there... I thought I reviewed it as a pub, I didn't notice it was listed under a hotel as it suggested on trip advisor that I rate it based on my location. I didn't realise it was an issue? we just popped in for a pint after visiting the waterfall and it was very friendly so I thought I'd say something nice about the place
