Stayed here twice, and both times have been amazing! The hotel is really nicely decorated and the spa area is great. Breakfast is really good too! Would 100% recommend the Thai next door for evening meal, but make sure you book in advance!

We just stayed one night B&B but would definitely go for a longer stay and give the spa a try. Room was spacious and very clean it was at the front of the hotel but we were not disturbed by the traffic. Bathroom spotless (loved the rubber duck!). The lounge is very impressive plenty of space, tidy bar area. Breakfast...

Once again an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The staff are very helpful. Best breakfast we have had in ages. Also the leisure facilities are top notch.

Just returned home after a lovely two night break at the Salutation. The staff are extremely helpful and efficient nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in a classic double room, which was tastefully decorated, the bathroom had a Jacuzzi bath and power shower. The breakfasts and evening meals are excellent. The hotel has various lounges available all tastefully decorated,...

Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of winter days here in a "club" room. Lovely clean and comfortable room with sitting area and a super expresso machine which was given new supplies each day. The restaurant serves what I would describe as straightforward food, very well prepared and in ample portions. It is quite expensive though. Super breakfast cooked to order plus...

I can't fault the Salutation. Staff in all departments are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent, the evening meals well cooked. Rooms are of a high standard and in certain rooms dogs are permitted. There are ample lounges for you to sit if the weather is bad. If you join the 'Westmorland Club' for a one off payment of...

Went in for drinks over the weekend. As we travel to Ambleside on the odd occasion we tend to drop in here. The hotel bar area has recently been redecorated, it has a beautiful relaxing modern feel to it. The staff are always so friendly and helpful.

Stayed for one night while on business locally. Warm welcome on arrival. Didn't get to try the food because they done serve meals after 9pm. Breakfast was nice enough. Plenty of parking. Would use again.

Booked a club single room for my partner as a night away birthday treat. Staff really friendly and helpful. The pool and spa is lovely, well lit and clean. Hot top was excellent, thoroughly recommend the showers in the hot tub! Our room is clean and comfortable and the spa bath is a nice touch.
