I know the English love a queue, but single file out of the door in a pub? Seems a bit extreme! Nevertheless, it was a nice sunny day so we sat outside and the setting is lovely. The beer was good and the baked camembert with a selection of breads really hit the spot.

I went with my daughter and we ordered a sticky toffee pudding for her and a pint for myself. They asked where I was sitting and told me that because I had ordered food I would have to sit at another table. I then paid for my order and they found a table for me and we moved there. After...

Had lunch here and was very glad that I did, the food was lovely, very generous portions even the children loved it and they can be very fussy! The place was lovely and clean, would definitely recommend.

After a day of walking and hiding NT properties we wanted to just chill on the last night of our honeymoon. This place was perfect! Great location with fab views. Friendly, quick and helpful service. We wanted a quiet seat away from the families dining with kids and were allowed to sit in the residents only area. Food was delicious...

Very friendly staff, lovely place to stay with wonderful views of Lake Windermere and easy access to good walks. We stayed for 3 nights and ended up eating in house each evening as it was good food and all very easy. So pleased we stayed there.

This was the first holiday I had taken on my own since my husband passed, so I was very unsure how I would feel. I chose Waterhead because I know the area very well and I chose the Wateredge Inn because we had never stayed there as a couple. I need not have worried as the staff were all very...

We booked this hotel prior to looking at the reviews which worried us somewhat after reading them. Since the flooding the hotel has been refurbished and we understand that the majority of the reviews were given during the period when the hotel was desperately trying to be 'business as usual' with the building work externally and in the kitchen taking...

We were so surprised to find all the car parks full up in the town, this was late September on a weekday, Monday 19th September to be precise. The weather for so late in the season was glorious and we really did want to stop for lunch. So we drove down to the lake and found plenty of space in...

Easily located the hotel, and parked in the rear car park, plenty of space and looked secure. Could actually see the car from our room. Check in was quick (on hindsight maybe too quick) and hassle free. We were already aware of the free spa access (Langdale Spa) you get while you stay at the Wateredge Inn, although this wasn't...

Called in for lunch and sat in the window with a great view of the lake. Price for drinks around average. Menu was not huge but we chose chilli, which came quite quickly. Served on an oblong plate with a neat pile of rice, nachos and dip with the chilli bowl nicely topped with cheese. Very taste but a little...
