As I was responsible for booking a hotel for us and our friends I spent a long time looking through many hotels and choose The Regent Hotel. Firstly in my opinion it should be registered as 4 star ( not 3 ) the interior is warm comftable, with really lovely decor and furniture. We stayed in 2 superior rooms with...

It is just that - that has to be the best lemon tart that I have ever eaten in my life. Lemon-y yes of course, but the pastry was perfectly and wonderfully crumbly, and the sorbet that was with it, even more zingy, I'm guessing lime. All served in a quiet lounge, by lovely staff, after a lovely meal -...

A great hotel, beautifully presented. We stayed in a standard room which was good and had a fantastic view of the lake. The only downside was the ill fitting window which let the sound penetrate and the small size of the bed (a standard double). The food was exceptional as were the friendly, helpful staff. A particular mention for Julie...

We went here to celebrate my 50th birthday and had such a great time. The room was so clean and spacious and the food and staff were wonderful. We left our dog with family but found it very welcoming of dogs too. Could not fault it.

I was visiting the Regent for a short break with my wife. There is free parking. Our welcome was a very warm one, but not as warm as our room where the heating was on 24/7 (It was a bit too warm). We were placed in an outside 'motel style' room but it was very clean and well appointed. Very...

The Regent Hotel is in a perfect location, right next to the lake, with views of the fells beyond. There are cosy lounges and a breakfast and dining menu of the...

We were looking for a true Dog Friendly place to stay for Indie, our 8 month old Lab. We wanted to combine a day up the mountains and a night of complete relaxation. We found just that at The Regent. The most dog friendly accomodation mixed with top quality room, service, food, facilities and location I have ever experienced. If...
