    We had a family meal here a few weeks ago. The food was reasonable, nothing special but mainly i thought it was overpriced. I expected to pay a little more, it is tourist central, but for plain fayre it was still a bit too much. Friendly staff.

    Had three meals here on a recent trip. Good value, good food and very good service. Could not fault the food and the attentive staff. Better value than surrounding restaurants, and quiet with no obligatory music.

    Have been a regular visitor to ambleside over the years & visited the Queens frequently both for meals & drinks. Visited this week & could not believe how run down it has become! This is a hotel & most of the staff were dressed as if they had come off the street! Did not notice any customers dining in what used to be a busy restaurant. Only redeeming fact was the cask ale was above average! …

    We had nice family meal here. Fish chips looked really good with good sized fish which two of our party had I had spicy chicken with salad which was tasty would have been better if it had come with chips or rice, and there was a lovely gammon which was good . Price okay

    Dropped in this evening for a meal, found friendly staff, excellent food and a great atmosphere. Spent the evening in a relaxing atmosphere making the visit very memorable, would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

    how much are the carparks for the weekend, and are they nearby...
    Hi, you can purchase a 3 day car parking permit for the local car parks at a cost of £15 and they are valid across most of the car parks in the South Lakes as well.

    Does the hotel have a car park
    Yes the Hotel has a car park for about 8 cars being a town centre hotel and over the years the subsequent owners sold the land off for the buildings that now exist. Consequently, parking is on a first come first serve basis. Double parking was once in place to allow for more cars to be parked, but it was not always satisfactory to park this way. There are several car parks around at reasonable rates, and car parking spaces in front of the Hotel free of charge from 6pm till next day 10.30am.
