Stayed for three nights for a walking weekend. Stayed in one of the garden rooms which was perfect for managing wet weather gear given the size and the tiled floors. Very comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom with bath and great shower. Good breakfast range, we liked the table service and there were plenty of staff. There was a great attention to...

Our third stay at this wonderful hotel and hopefully not our last, we stay in one of the garden rooms which are lovely, spacious and have great facilities. Everyone who works there are very helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble . Handy for ambleside itself and also for walking to the lake. Breakfast consists of every option going...

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write your review. We appreciate it greatly. Our ground floor Garden Rooms remain very popular with all sorts of guests; those wanting easy access without stairs to the first and second floors, those going walking who can just kick off dirty boots right on their own doorstep and folks who...

Once again an excellent stay. We have stayed here many times, usually opting for the three days for two offer. The various rooms we have stayed in have always been excellent and as advertised. You get a good nights sleep on comfortable beds. Good views from most rooms. Breakfast is as you would expect, full breakfast options with the usual...

Stayed here with my partner for a weekend away at the start of February. It is in excellent location of only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Ambleside where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We found good deal for two nights and our room was small and cosy. Not a big issue as...

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write your review and sorry you had a few issues, for which we apologise. Unforunately it would be impossible to put a sliding door into the bathroom where you were and there is a doorstop which prevents the door from banging too loudly. Many of the top rooms have nice...

Just back from 3 days at the Fisherbeck. We have been going to Ambleside for about twenty years and always stayed in the centre but finding the prices increasing to what we think is well over priced, we started searching for some where different, why did we not find the Fisherbeck sooner. First class, well worth the money at a...

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write your review. We are so pleased that you had an enjoyable 3 day stay with us. The views from the front facing rooms really are quite good, aren't they. I have looked at that same vista for very nearly 40 years, 22 years on a full time basis, and...

Delightful room (room 2, stayed 1st February) with top-class features and beautiful views. The professionalism and friendliness of the owners and staff ensured that we had a completely relaxing and comfortable stay. Very generous and delicious breakfast - the best cooked piece of smoked haddock I've had in a long time - not to mention my husband's perfectly cooked 'special'...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your very complimentary review. It was a pleasure having you with us. Room 2 is a great favourite with many of our regular guests having a balcony...though not too well used in February, great views and a full en-suite with spa bath & separate walk-in shower. Only sorry you didn't...
