I went with my daughter. Guest house is lovely. Room was really quaint in the eaves. Very clean, great staff and fab breakfast. Only a short stroll into center of ambleside. We left the car and got an open top bus and boat ticket. Went all over from grassmere to Windermere and bowness. Excellent value. Can highly recommend.

Sarah was a fantastic host in this very comfortable B&B. Sarah is the new owner and is trying to build the reputation of Cherry Garth and she deserves to succeed. Ignore the scaffolding, the rooms are really comfortable and the freshly prepared breakfast delicious. It was only a short walk to many pubs and restaurants and was a great base...

We arrived and were met by new owners who had been there only a day!!! We felt rather sorry for them but after talking to them we knew they had great vision for the Guest House. We had a loft room and it was fine but certainly needed updating. Obviously previous owners had let the place go a bit!! Breakfast...

The owners were absolutely lovely and catered very well for my coeliac requirements by offering gluten free bread for toast and other options. Nice room with plenty of space, very comfortable bed and facilities. But it has to be said the large car park and absolutely fantastic location of this place is its star attribute. 10min walk left of the...
