Lovely guesthouse with very helpful owners. Our room was very clean and comfortable. A choice of breakfast which was delicious. Situated opposite a lovely garden centre with a maximum 5 minute walk into town if you turn right and a couple of minute walk to the lake if you turn left. Ideally situated and would stay again if we visit...

My partner and I stayed here for a short break over the Easter holidays. The guesthouse was in a great location and had everything that we needed for our stay. Richard couldn't have been more helpful with information and even lending us a map for one of our walks. Great welcome and hospitality! We will definitely be back. Thank you...

Really nice place to stay. Ambleside and the surrounding area was stunning. The guesthouse itself was spot on. Owners were very helpful. Rooms clean with nice furniture. Breakfast fantastic. One little minus was the parking - it's a small place and parking was a pain.

We have stayed six times at the Wanslea, and are planning our next stay soon. It is spotless- and we always stay in a dog room with our pooch, so that's a huge credit to them. New double glazing meant that even the rooms that front the main road are quiet. Brilliant non-greasy breakfast; nice to see kippers on the...

A lovely old B and B with a very friendly and helpful host. Rooms were large and well decorated , nice jacuzzi bath after a long days walking! Well situated between Ambleside centre and the lake. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely guesthouse. Spotless rooms, friendly owners and great value for money. The breakfast was excellent with locally sourced products. The guest house is just away from the main centre of Ambleside so nice and quiet. I'd highly recommend to all and will be returning myself.

What more could you want? A warm welcome, large room, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and the best breakfast we've ever had in a guesthouse! The guesthouse is about 10 minutes walk straight into town so very convenient. Friendly, welcoming hosts and nice soft towels.

Spent 2 nights here with family. Couldn't have asked for better accommodation! Wonderful hospitality and location central for Town and Lake. Would definitely recommend - hope to visit again! Very comfortable bedroom, ensuite with spa bath and limited parking on site. Public car parking nearby. Close to all amenities but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful in the...
