Visited again, still the same good value in a modern Bed and Breakfast. Within walking distance of many good restaurants and bars in Ambleside. Clean, lovely breakfast with fresh cooked fare. Parking can be a little challenging but you always can find a spot.

It is a lovely area to stay. Short walk along from Lakes Lodge to Ambleside shops, plenty of places to eat out. Several pubs and inns nearby. We stayed a few days and went on the boat cruise on Windermere, there are several trips to choose from, short or longer ones- we enjoyed this and stopped off at Bowness on Windermere for a coffee. The pier is also a fairly short walk from Lakes Lodge,,they also have discount tickets for the boat.
There are lots of places to visit nearby, depending on what interests they have. Staff are only too ready to help and there are leaflets to read.
We also went for the day to Kendall which was lovely some quaint shops with a choice of places to eat.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it.
