A group of us stayed here for two nights. Lovely spacious rooms, bright and clean. Very comfortable beds and excellent location in Ambleside. Very friendly staff. Definitely recommend for a short break in The Lakes.

Nicely appointed, comfortable B&B with good breakfast and helpful friendly staff. The twin rooms have lovely 2x double beds! Excellent location for walking & cycling in the area. Sufficient car parking for the B&B. Recommended.

We have just spent 2 nights at this bed and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room very clean and comfortable and the breakfast excellent, although if you prefer a formal breakfast this will not be for you, the breakfast was excellent buffet style, cooked in smal batches so always hot and fresh, no white linen table...

We had a last minutes weekend here in February and it was great. Accommodation was fantastic, hot tub made up for bad weather and pubs locally for food - recommend it. Took dog along and he was welcome in lodge but not many places to key him off lead lid ally because of sheep - minor issue. Lovely place

Me and my partner booked to stay here for two nights in March. The room was lovely however I was a bit put off when I seen the bedside table was full of hair. I gave the room a quick clean myself and all was ok. The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a good central location. Breakfast...

Booked a premium room "ruskin" which was perfect for our stay, tucked beneath and to the side of the the main hotel. Everything you could wish for in the room excellent large bedroom and a brilliant bathroom with under floor heating which was a nice bonus. Very friendly and helpful staff . Spotless throughout and with a very decent buffet...

It's always nice to return to Lakes Lodge after a few years and be reminded what a we'll run establishment this is. The staff are very helpful and the standard of accommodation is very good at this price point. The breakfast buffet is good with freshly cooked eggs and other hot dishes. The rooms are great with comfortable beds, soft...

Great staff nothing to much trouble . Excellent location close enough to the town but still quiet enough at night. Superb buffet style breakfast and a massive clean room. Only downside is the carpark which seems inadequate for the size of the hotel, even if you manage to get a space they are too tight for the average car.

I booked in to this hotel at the last minute. The staff were really polite and friendly and the room was scrupulously clean. The shower was lovely, the toiletries fresh, the towels fluffy. The TV was fine and the bed clean crisp and comfy. The only advice I would have is to get a room on the back as the...
