We had a wonderful 2 nights stay in a lovely country retreat. Just outside of Ambleside the accommodation and welcome we received from start to finish just added en extra warmth to this charming bed and breakfast.

Great location, feels very 'away from it all', while at the same time giving easy access to local amenities. House was peaceful and relaxing, owners friendly and obliging. Spotlessly clean, room was nicely decorated with an excellent bathroom. Lovely comfortable lounge with a real fire, and a good DVD library too. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely warm welcome from John. Crow Howe is a real find - comfy rooms, warm welcoming lounge area with a real fire, great breakfast and to top it off the weather was kind allowing us the rare treat of snow covered fells and bright blue skies. Already booked again for Feb.

We stayed in room 1 and what a excellent room it was, the bathroom was 5*!! Friendly and welcoming staff! The room was so spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. It's a 10-15 min walk into the town, when it's dark we would recommend a torch. We had no negatives at all about the stay and will definitely be...

Lovely place, friendly staff, really pretty surroundings. Spotlessly clean, relaxing, big rooms, lots of options for breakfast (delicious and healthy food). Excellent hospitality just adds on top of all of that! It was an amazing relaxing break. Stayed here for a night, wish it was longer! Will definitely go back again!

It is clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms are en suite, modern and luxurious. Breakfast offers everything you could want from fresh fruit to scrumptious vegetarian and non vegetarian freshly prepared hot options. The...
