We have been coming to Crow How for 10 years and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and the choice and quality of breakfast superb - thank you to our lovely waitress for her sense of humour. It is a family run guest house and everyone couldn't be more helpful with advice on local amenities plus...

Room very big, clean & great view. Location superb for getting to Lakes & plenty of options for the evenings. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Any issues were always dealt with & never a problem for getting advise.

This was a true gem for us. The setting is beautiful. The rooms were wonderful (we were in rooms 7 and 9). A five minute walk from Ambleside makes this a great location to leave the car parked to either explore the town or walk the countryside. I cannot recommend this enought.

We stayed for four nights and had booked a superior room. Whilst our booking included a superior room with a bath (2) we ended up in a room with a very small, dimly lit bathroom without one (room 6). This was disappointing as a soak would have been lovely after a long walk. This was due to a mix up...

We had lovely views from Room 6, a comfortable bed, sofa TV and video player. An extensive breakfast menu catered fo all tastes including fruit salad and cereals and vegetarian option. For wet days, a drying room is provided and for cosy evenings in, a selection of latest video releases. The guest house is about 15 mins walk from Ambleside where...

Found this recommended on Trip Advisor and it couldn't be faulted. An old country house set in an idyllic rural setting with lovely gardens and sheep in the fields beyond, but only 10/15 minutes stroll into Ambleside with all its amenities. Delicious breakfasts. Very comfortable room with hairdryer supplied (always important) and lovely bathroom with excellent locally made toiletries -...

Situated between Grasmere and Ambleside this Guest House is in an ideal place for access to the surrounding hills. The house itself feels very cosy with a lovely sitting room to relax in after a good days walking. My room (No. 7) was spacious and comfy and the bathroom was very luxurious. I've stayed in some incredibly nice places before...

We spent 3 nights here. Family run - everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Great base for cycling and walking - we only used the car once. 15 minute walk into Ambleside which is great for us - plenty of car parking space and we also left the car there on the last day while doing the Fairfield Horseshoe -...

Crow How is luxury in the Lakes for a little more than you might spend at an average B & B. It is situated down a quiet side road a few minutes drive out of Ambleside, there is ample parking space for everyone. It is situated in it's own well maintained gardens. Travelling as two couples we booked rooms 7...

This is one of Amblesides best b&b's in the Lake District, great rooms with views, fantastic location, great customer service, great to find not all difficult and beautiful gardens. This is a must for either first time visits to the Lakes or to regulars that go up and do not try other b&b's; I promise you that if you try...
