Lovely house run by lovely people! We stayed for one night, the owners were very helpful with local knowledge and the breakfast was great. The room was clean and well kept with everything you might need.

Stayed overnight following a wedding at nearby New House Farm. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, bed extremely comfortable, room was clean and breakfast great. Free wifi and onsite parking. Highly recommend.

Stayed one night. Made to feel most welcome. Lovely comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast. pristine facilities and walking distance to good pubs (Bitter End) and also great restaurants (see Honest lawyer review). We actually booked it by mistake as the booking website said it was in Keswick - a fortunate mishap. Family friendly and lovely hosts.

We stopped here last year and had a enjoyable stay so booked again. Over the winter the rooms had been decorated along with the bathrooms so it was even better. This is an excellent base for exploring the Lakes with ample parking with the town only a short walk. Looking forward to returning next year.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, quiet location and an easy walk into town. Breakfast is 'everything' or tea and toast, if that's all you want - and gentle classical music to wake up by!! Thanks Julia for your warm welcome and for making my short stay in Cockermouth that bit more comfortable.

We loved Rose Cottage so much we've just finished visiting for the second time in 3 months. Julia and Scott are a lovely couple who've helped make our stay perfect. Rose Cottage is a 10-15min walk from centre of Cockermouth (which is much easier than driving and parking in town). The rooms are modern and comfortable. Breakfast is always very...
