Have just returned after a 3 night stay at this truly wonderful hotel. Everything about the place was just perfect; from the rooms to the scrumptious food. The atmosphere at The Grasmere Hotel is more akin to a house party resulting in a very relaxing stay. The staff were amazing, attentive to just the right level, happy, helpful and an...

Just spend 3 nights at this lovely Country House Hotel. The Hotel has been tastefully and sympathetically refurbished in recent years, and our comfortable room and the lounge and dining area were just perfect. Food excellent, beautifully cooked and presented, staff friendly and helpful. No wonder so many return again and again, we will too!

Our annual visit to the Lake District was, as usual, highlighted by our stay in this excellent little hotel. The small, beautifully furnished, room's are warm and extremely comfortable, just what is needed after an Autumn walk in the beautiful Lakeland countryside. After a relaxing drink by a roaring fire in the comfortable lounge, dinner is served in the dining...

This is the 5th consecutive time we have visited the hotel and it still delights. Rob, Anton and the team work very hard to maintain a high standard and nothing is too much trouble to help you have a comfortable stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated to the highest standard and the food is as good as any high class restaurant....

This is our 4th visit to the hotel in 5 years and we shall return! Rob and Anton have created a beautifully run hotel in a lovely little village that has so much to offer. Invigorating walks, mountains, waterfalls and to finish, shops and great pubs! The hotel offers evening meals which are delicious and varied, we usually eat in...

This hotel is the number one place to stay in Grasmere and the place to be if you are travelling to the Lake District. My wife and I had a...

From arrival the whole experience was great, the warm welcome and beautiful premises and facilities meant you knew something special was afoot. The room (Coleridge) wa so comfortable and well equipped with a brilliant shower and comfy bed. The...

My husband and I spent four nights at the Grasmere Hotel last week and had a wonderful time. It was our first stay at the hotel and we enjoyed it so much we have made two more bookings. The hotel in all aspects exceeded our expectations, which were high anyway. The room, the service, the ambiance and the food were...

This is the best hotel I know. It is in a great setting. Good service from the minute you step in. Rooms are out of this world and nothing is to much trouble. Food is out of this world and you get up for breakfast.

Having had a tip from a friend who had already dined and stayed here we booked 2 nights for our 27th wedding anniversary at the beginning of October. We stayed in the Ruskin room which was beautiful and spotlessly clean, although the other rooms look amazing too. The owners have got this hotel looking and operating like you always hope...
