Having had a tip from a friend who had already dined and stayed here we booked 2 nights for our 27th wedding anniversary at the beginning of October. We stayed in the Ruskin room which was beautiful and spotlessly clean, although the other rooms look amazing too. The owners have got this hotel looking and operating like you always hope...

This is possibly the best hotel we've stayed at! From the minute we arrived, the staff were courteous, extremely helpful and professional. We were welcomed with a drink in the beautiful gardens and shown to our room (Ruskin) which was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The En-Suite was an excellent size and very toasty! The bed was extremely comfortable. On top...

Our third visit to The Grasmere Hotel and it was just as good as the other two. The owners, Rob and Anton, run an excellent establishment, efficient, welcoming, comfortable with very good food. Anton is the chef and his dishes are superb yet reasonably priced. Our room (De Quincy this time) was well equipped, extremely comfortable and with an ensuite...

If you are looking for a holiday for complete relaxation in both a luxurious, comfortable and friendly environment then look no further. Breakfast and in particular dinner (4 course with exceptional service) is a treat and a lovely experience. Ample...

We were only able to stay one night here, but the experience was fantastic. Very personalized service from the staff and owner. They went above and beyond to help us in a pinch. Great food at the breakfast. Lovely setting and room. I can't find anything critical to say.

I booked this for my staff for a weekend away. It was superb. The rooms were lovely and the food was very high quality. The owner, Rob, was fantastic in making everything run smoothly for our group. We all loved it. The best place we have stayed in the Lakes and I say that as a regular visitor.

This hotel has the edge on the best I have stayed in. Eat in the intimate restaurant and you will be delighted by the choice and quality of the four course dinner. Coffee in the lounge is included in the fixed price dinner. The establishment is run and owned by professionals who delight in running quite the best hotel in...

Went with friends for a two day break, along with a cocker , once again a lovely welcome, I lovely room overlooking the back garden, and the food better than ever, we love the meeting in the lounge before dinner and having a pre-dinner drink and for that matter-post-dinner drink! Beds are comfortable and the hotel is within easy reach...
