My husband and I visited this hotel on 27th May for a 2 night stay for his birthday. The hotel is in a lovely location suitable for walkers and people who want to relax. It has been recently refurbished and is very welcoming. The food is excellent with very generous portions. The staff are lovely and very approachable and friendly....

Our only complaint would be that the balcony and furniture had not been cleaned or swept for some time (there was even rubbish from a previous guest). The balcony (which is...

The loveliest, helpful staff I have come across in a long time. I was travelling with my elderly mother reminiscing of a time when she lived in the area. Hotel accommodation was great value B&B but the food was so delicious and varied we ate at the hotel all 3 nights. We were going to go out to other restaurants...

The Best Western Grasmere Red Lion Hotel is located in the heart of Lake District. One can get to any part of Lake District with one 30 minutes. It has a very homely atmosphere, a great pub and is very quiet and peaceful. It is a good place to unwind from the hustle of city life.

Stayed here for a birthday treat and wasn't disappointed. Staff are friendly rooms are a bit on the small side but nicely decorated. Bathroom was very small and difficult to move around in it .Food was good and not too badly priced. One big downside is the parking I had to pay £8.00 to park in a pay and display...
