We returned to the Daffodil this week and were not disappointed. The hotel has been closed because of the winter storm damage but they are back on their feet, although the Spa does not open until the first week in September. As before, you can tell from your first step inside the hotel that this is somewhere that cares about...

We had a double room with view of the lake and hills behind. This is one of the BEST views in the Lake District. The restaurant was excellent, both food and service. Staff are friendly and helpful. The decoration and maintenance of the hotel is first class. We loved the details of pictures. You can walk into Grasmere, and visit...

Stunning is one word to describe this hotel. I genuinely thought our standard room was a mistake due to the facilities we had. A bath AND a seperate shower, a massive bed, a tv & office desk space. Staff are very polite and accomodating - even when checking in at midnight after a festival! Well mannered and a credit to...

Staff were friendly and the service from reception check in to the restaurant was superb. It was a great base for exploring Grasmere and Windermere. The best bit was...

I stayed at the Daffodil Hotel, where I attended a wedding this weekend. I had an amazing time and would highly recommend this hotel. I stayed in a junior suite which was lovely. The emperor bed was huge and very comfortable; the room itself was large with a table and chairs in the window, overlooking the lake and there were...

We are on our honeymoon in Keswick and wanted a little treat for ourselves so we went for a afternoon tea! I emailed ahead to book a table and mentioned that we would like a window seat as we were on our honeymoon. When we arrived we had a seat right next to the window with a view of the...

Stayed for 5 days with my wife. Fantastic experience. The first thing you notice is the impressive stone building with the hills as a backdrop and it overlooks the lake. You get a lake view from the dining room, the lounge and the bedrooms. There is lots of parking space at the front and it's just off the main road....
