Despite quite exacting instructions we drove by Miller's Beck but eventually found this little gem and thank goodness we did. Comfortable bedroom & wonderful bathroom. Excellent breakfast served with a smile. Homemade preserves & marmalade, very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Good communication and friendly greeting from Paul. Good parking availability. On A65 south of Kendal but no issue with traffic noise in our room named "Millrace". Modern facilities and even a basic DVD player build into the modest flat screen TV. Really good Full English breakfast available cooked to order, cereals, home made jams and extra toast if you want...

We have just spent 3 days at the Millers Beck Guest House where we were warmly welcomed by the owners Paul and Granville. We were given a fantastic room with French Windows opening up to a glorious view of the surrounding countryside. The guest house was a former mill house and our room overlooked the mill stream. The hotel was...

Millers Beck is a stylish, comfortable conversion of a former water mill with a choice of B&B rooms or self-catering accomodation. Our room was large, comfortable and well appointed with views over the surrounding countryside. The breakfast room, in a conservatory beside the mill stream and mature garden, is a relaxed location for an excellent breakfast. All in all, an...

We stayed weekend of 7th May and couldn't have asked for more. The proprietors Paul and Grenville were great hosts. Local knowledge with where to eat pointed us towards the local pub a couple of miles down the road Millers Beck although next to the A65 is a quiet countryside retreat far enough out of Kendal to be rural but...

Back again!!! This visit we stayed in one of the self catering flats. It was wonderful. It had everything you could need for a few nights away from home. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Even though we were self catering Paul was on hand for a chat and catch up and for advise on were to visit etc. We stayed 3...

Stayed for three nights at this charming bed and breakfast in Kendal. The room was lovely with modern furnishings and spotlessly clean. Breakfastwas well cooked and presented, with plenty of choice I would certainly recommend Millers Beck

Lovely old water mill thats been sympathetically converted and improved by the current owners. Immaculate rooms with all the facilities you would want with great views over the old mill race (wonderful sound of water), across the gardens to open country. Great home cooked breakfasts and an old Cumbrian pub within walking distance for food and drinks. Location is handy...

As a place to stop off en route to somewhere else, Millers Beck fits the bill i.e. it is clean, efficiently run and good value (£55 including breakfast). My only criticism as such is that it is quite remote i.e. well outside Kendal itself but one can't have it all so in the balance fit for purpose.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. As a Country Guest House advertised as being a few miles out of Kendal most people would be surprised to find us in the Town centre.
