The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a Family room with our son and dog, the room was clean and a good size. We stayed for 6 nights and would definitely use again. The Petrol Station next door was very handy to purchase sandwiches and drinks for our lunch as we were talking long walks with our dog during the day.

Arrived to a genuine and helpful greeting from the staff - very clean hotel which is obviously cared for. The busy road is close but this did not disturb our sleep on the legendary Travelodge sleepeezzee beds. Although the manager was concerned about stock for breakfast, it was in plentiful supply and good value. As we left, the staff were holding a meeting and they clearly have rapport with each other and the manager. Thanks for a nice break.

Third visit - there is a genuine and helpful greeting from the staff - not just when you arrive but each time you encounter them. The hotel is very clean and cared for and a request for towel change was met with copious supply. The busy road is close and it has not helped that rumble strips have been added recently to warn of a junction close by. But, the rooms are spacious and 50% overlook quiet farmland. The adjoining garage is well stocked and includes alcohol and newspapers. A family run farm shop and café opens at 09:00 close by - a bit too far to walk and a little complicated to reach across the dual carriageway but the food is good.

This hotel is perfect for people who have a car. Put post code in for shell garage and it will take you directly there. Great for travelling to kendal and windermere. We generally went to windermere as better for sightseeing. Clean & tidy and breakfast box sufficient too. Staff very friendly too. Thanks for a lovely stay

Excellent location to explore he South Lakes - clean, well presented Travelodge - we stayed for two nights - such a pity they couldn't manage to make up the room after the first night - no bed made - no clean towels - no beverages replaced and obviously no cleaning - is this a cost saving exercise or just poor management supervision?
